Energía: definición y unidades
The concept of energy is related to the aptitude to generate
movement or to achieve the transformation of something. In the
economic and technological area, the energy refers to a natural
resource and the associate elements that allow to do an industrial
use of the same one. The main units of energy are: Joules (J),
Kilocalories (kcal) and kilowatt-hour (kWh)
5. Forms of energy:
Mechanical Energy: associated with the movement (to raise the
rucksack).
Heat energy: related to the temperature (to warm water).
Chemical energy: associated with chemical reactions (as that of
combustion of the coal, for example).
Nuclear power: proceeding from the disintegration of radioactive
substances.
Radiant energy: associated with electromagnetic radiations (as the
light, the microwaves, etc.).
Electric power: related to electrical loads in movement.
7. Energy resources (I):
Fossil energy: The fossil fuels can be in use in solid form (coal) or soda (natural
gas). They are accumulations of alive beings who lived it does million years.
In case of the coal it is a question of forests of swampy zones, and in case of
the oil and the natural gas of big masses of marine plankton accumulated at
the back of the sea. In both cases the organic matter decomposed partially
for lack of oxygen, so that stored molecules stayed with links of high energy.
Hydraulic power: The potential energy accumulated in the water jumps can be
transformed into electric power. The hydroelectric power stations take
advantage of energy of the rivers to put in functioning a few turbines that
drag an electrical generator
Energy of the biomass: The biomass, from the energetic point of view, is
considered to be the set of the organic matter, of vegetable or animal origin,
which is capable of being used by energetic purposes. It includes also the
materials proceeding from the natural or artificial transformation of the
organic matter..
8. Fuentes de energía (I):
9. Energy sources (II):
Solar power: The capture of the solar radiation serves so much to transform the
solar power into heat (thermal), as to generate (photovoltaic) electricity.
Geothermal energy: Part of the internal heat of the Earth (5.000ºC) comes to the
terrestrial bark. In some zones of the planet, near the surface, the
underground waters can reach temperatures of boiling, and, therefore, serve
to drive electrical turbines or to warm.
Nuclear power: The atomic core of elements weighed as the uranium, can be
disintegrated (nuclear fission) and liberate radiant and kinetic energy. The
thermonuclear head offices take advantage of this energy to produce
electricity by means of turbines of water steam.
Gravitational energy: The attraction of the Sol and the Moon that originates the
tides can be taken advantage to generate electricity.
11. Generation of electrical energy:
In general, the generation of electric power consists of transforming
some class of chemical, mechanical, thermal or luminous energy,
between others, into electric power. For the industrial generation one
resorts to facilities named electric power stations, which execute
someone of the mentioned transformations. These constitute the first
step of the system of electrical supply.
The electrical generation carries out, basically, by means of a generator;
though these do not differ between yes as for his beginning of
functioning, they change in function to the form in which they are
driven. Explained differently, it differs in what primary source of
energy it uses to turn the energy contained in her, in electric power.
13. Ambiental Impact:
There is understood by environmental impact the effect that produces a certain
action on the environment in his different aspects. The concept can spread,
with few usefulness, to the effects of a natural catastrophic phenomenon.
The human actions, they are the principal motives that have produced that a
good or natural resource suffers negative changes.
Now the natural resources are threatened in every sense, the water, the soil, the
air they are resources that are being affected by measures or actions without
previous studies that allow to mitigate these impacts, the minimization of the
environmental impact is a preponderant factor in any study that wants to be
done in a project or action to execute, with this it will achieve that the side
effects can be positives and, fewer negatives.
Another suggestion is to change the conventional bulbs into the fluorescent
compact ones that use a fourth part of the electricity and last 10 times more.
It is one of the forms of reducing the environmental impact.
14. Impacto ambiental:
bien o recurso natural sufra cambios negativos.
15. Transports and distribution:
The Distribution network of the Electric power or Distribution system of
Electric power is the part of the system of electrical supply which function is
the power supply from the generating head office up to our homes.
hogares.
