something that will keep you from slipping into sleep.

light in your mind and imagine yourself going into it and becoming a part of it.
There are three signs to watch for that will indicate that you are beginning to astral project. One is
having a sensation of motion, followed by 'seeing' light and color (even though your eyes will be
closed).
Voices will tell you to go on and encourage you or tell you to stop now as a warning. When you
hear these voices, it means you have succeeded in astral projecting.
