Daniela Quieti
Daniela Quieti was born and lives in Pescara. Former professor of English Language
and Literature, she is a journalist for the online newspapers Agricoltura Oggi, Thema
L'Informazione, the poetry, literary and art quarterly I fiori del male and the website
Voglia di libro. She edits a poetry, fiction and non-fiction series "Campi magnetici"
(Edizioni Tracce) and contributes to the magazines Il Porticciolo, L’eterno Ulisse
and La Piazza.
She participates in publishing exhibitions, conferences and international delegations,
including the "City of Penne-Moscow" organized in Moscow by the Government of
the Russian Federation. The collection Poems (Edizioni Tracce) which includes her
poems translated into Russian was edited in this occasion. She is a translator and a
judge for literary competitions. She is also a member of Avulss, the Italian Red
Cross and UNICEF.
She has published the poetry books: I colori del parco, Stampa Terenzio 2007;
Cerco un pensiero, Tracce 2008; Uno squarcio di sogno, Tracce 2010; L'ultima fuga,
Tracce 2011; fiction: Altri Tempi, Tracce 2009; Echi di riti e miti, Ibiskos Ulivieri
2010; essays: Francis Bacon La visione del futuro, Tracce 2012.
Her literary production has been reviewed by critics and translated into other
languages. She has won numerous awards, including Woman of the Year for the
Culture at the Italian - Speaking Switzerland University of Peace, "Città di Penne"
Prize and Un bosco per Kyoto (with transfer of the title of Knight of Gaia as an artist
sensitive to environmental issues).
