GoBites is a subscription-based snacking service offering consumers snack packs made from natural
ingredients sourced from around the world. Offering a customizable at-home delivery service, GoBites offers
perfectly portioned, wholesome snacks for the whole family. Designed by a team of nutritionists, GoBites
packs are tailored into unique combinations to fit an individual’s lifestyle or dietary needs – helping those
who have the desire, but not necessarily the inclination, to eat smart. 5W Public Relations has been the
Agency of Record for GoBites since 2013, and was tasked with heightening consumer awareness and
increasing subscribers for the snack subscription service GoBites, positioning the company as a leader in the
subscription box industry and a smarter alternative to traditional snacks.
STRATEGY:
5W embarked on a strategy to differentiate GoBites’ unique and innovative service from competitive
subscription snack services and items found in the grocery store and maintain GoBites’ relevance, given
their 2012 launch date. 5W set out to increase brand recognition subscribers via product placement in
national and regional print media, strategic blog initiatives and giveaways, consumer awareness through
events and partnerships. 5W utilized traditional media relations, news cycle and trends integration, product
donation sponsorships.
IMPACT:
GoBites received significant coverage from a wide variety of national and regional strategic media
placements across all verticals, on topics ranging from product reviews and features to round-ups. To
date, 5W has secured more than 7,679,433 media impressions for the brand.
