and good design. I build client-side software including mobile apps and web sites, while
also bringing knowledge and capabilities of full-stack software development. I see the big
picture as well as the tiny details, and I’m capable of leading a team or working
independently to achieve a goal.

Experience
SOFTWARE ENGINEER — YOUTUBE — VENICE CA — 2010-2015
Senior developer on the YouTube website and Android app. I worked with a vertical team
of front- and back-end engineers, UX experts, designers, and program managers in Los
Angeles and San Bruno to bring new features to YouTube users and creators. I was an early
developer on the YouTube Creator Studio app.
SOFTWARE ENGINEER — INSTITUTES FOR CREATIVE TECHNOLOGY (ICT) — PLAYA VISTA CA — 2008-2010
Technical lead and project manager of a mixed-reality IED training system for soldiers and
Marines prior to deployment. Using actual satellite and GIS data, our team built a system
that allowed soldiers to experience “virtual Afghanistan” from the inside of a mock
Humvee, while other soldiers played “insurgents” who attempted to attack them with
virtual roadside bombs and small arms. With a $10M budget we built and deployed an
initial version in less than 1 year, and 2 more iterations the next year.

User interface engineer responsible for math tutoring software sold nation-wide. I created
numerous engineering process improvements within the company, such as automated
defect detection, that continue to positively impact company productivity today.
