Updated to include audience responses and participation! Slides from Keynote Presentation by Janine Bowes. In this presentation Janine will explore the skills and attributes that an online teacher needs in the 21st century to stay on top of the game. In considering the past two decades of online learning, it is useful to note some underlying principles that are timeless but also to be open to new possibilities.

I was trawling the net the other day, looking for stuff to contribute to our ICT PD Cluster Social Network site, and I came across a few guys talking about \'ideas\' for ICT across the curriculum. Andrew Field had set up a forum where educators were sharing their ideas to add to a \'basket\' of ideas called \'Effective ICT In The Classroom, 60 ICT ideas in 60 minutes.\" The results were fantastic, and I thought it would be cool to turn them into a video that would make it easier to share the ideas... here\'s my contribution to 60 ideas in 60 minutes. Thanks to all those contributors whose ideas are shown here... I threw in few of my own... Assessing ICT learning is something many teachers experience difficulty with. This session reviews the range of strategies appropriate to assessing ICT: we look at assessment for learning in ICT, the National Curriculum attainment target and APP. We also consider how ICT may be used to support assessment across the curriculum. You assess an example of a pupil’s ICT work and draft some feedback. The lecture concludes with a briefing on the assessment task and you have the opportunity to discuss your lesson plan and the rest of your web site with your tutor.

This workshop aims to demonstrate what has been a successful model for teacher leadership of the Digital Education Revolution in secondary schools. Through informal discussion and demonstration of specific software and Web 2.0 applications, participants will be introduced to a variety of strategies that have been used to overcome barriers to success that confront teachers. The aim of this presentation is to facilitate discussion and provide participants with a toolbox of strategies to bring about a 21st Century shift in pedagogy, learning styles and learning environments. Both presenters are leaders of DER within their schools and have collaborated on a number of inter-school projects promoting the innovative integration of technology into the 21st century classroom.

Discover the Kisan Call Centre: Your Gateway to Agricultural Assistance KISAN CALL CENTRE In order to harness the potential of ICT in Agriculture, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare launched the scheme “Kisan Call Centres” (KCCs) on January 21, 2004. Main aim of the scheme is to answer farmers’ queries on a telephone call in their own language. These call centres are working in 21 different locations in the country covering all the States and UTs. A countrywide common eleven digit Toll Free Number 1800-180-1551 has been allotted for Kisan Call Centre. This number is accessible through mobile phones and landlines of all telecom networks including private service providers. Replies to the farmers’ queries are given in 22 local languages. Kisan Call Centre services are available from 6.00 AM to 10.00 PM on all seven days of the week at each KCC location. The recently published educational policy document under the title ‘National Education Policy Reform’ (NEPF for short) has been the subject of much criticism. Various parties have expressed their grave concerns about this proposed NEPF on many platforms. This document attempts to cover some angles which the author deems less covered in other criticisms. This critique is by no means complete or exhaustive; rather, the author prefers that it be read in conjunction with other such criticisms.
