2. Animatic
•
•
These are a few comments we received on
our animatic storyboard which we
uploaded to YouTube
We received mostly positive feedback and
constructive feedback on how to improve.
Strengths:
•
•
Good music
Effective voice over
Improvements:
•
•
•
We considered all of this feedback and put most of it
into practice when it came to editing our teaser. We
added titles, voiceover, and thought more carefully
about the lengths of the clips, ensuring we kept to the
conventions of thriller teasers.
More sound effects
Adjust the clip lengths
More titles
3. Progress feedback
This is feedback we received once we had
already started editing our products. Our
teaser simply had a basic structure and
organisation of clips and did not look very
professional.
During this stage of development it is nice to
receive positive feedback however it is the
areas in which we can improve that are more
important in making the best possible
product.
The whole teaser was apparently confusing,
the shots are too long and some of the
scenes like the back to back scene did not
make sense. This was very helpful to us
because it made us realise that someone
who did not know the plot of the story like we
did would find it very confusing. As a result of
this we took out this scene from our teaser.
The rest of the feedback, for example “take
our the background noise” and “lighting need
to be more continuous” are things we already
knew we had to work on, but having it said
by our class members was also helpful
because it made us realise it really is
something that needed to be addressed
4. Final product feedback
These are a few comments we have
received on our teaser trailer which we
uploaded to YouTube
This is very good feedback that we
have received because it shows that we
have done all the rights things when
taking our progress feedback into
account and put together an effective
teaser trailer based on feedback we
received prior to the completion of this
product.
Someone having commented on the
titles intergrating well shows that we
learned from previous feedback of us
needing more titles
5. Poster and magazine
We did not receive so much feedback on our
poster and magazine cover.
We were told that the pictures are good,
however the magazine seemed empty.
Also that the fonts and effects were good.
We did not receive any feedback during the
construction of these products. Only on the
final product itself.
If we were to do this again I would deffinitely
ensure we gathered feedback during the
construction phase. This is because it proved
very helpful when doing our teaser trailer and
helped us product the best quality product
possible
6. If I did it again…
The feedback we received helped us a lot in producing the best quality
products possible. It also helped us realise the things we would do if we
had the chance to do it again.
In our Teaser trailer I would endure we added more sound effects and
dialogue to fit better with the conventions of thrillers. Also a wider variety
of locations, this is just to make it more visually interesting.
For our poster we could spend a little more time editing it to a more
professional standard. For example add something to the bottom half of
the poster to make it more interesting and eye catching.
For the magazine cover we would spend more time on the detailed
aspects of the cover. For example maybe add a shadow effect where my
hair meets the background of the cover to the layering of the images
looks more professional. We could also add more images and effects to
show that a higher level of skill went into the production of it
