2. Indian Internet Population Out of the 25% of Indian population which stays in cities, 32% are PC literate. Out of those who are PC literate, 53% are actively using the internet (have used internet in past 1 month). 16% of 266 Mn urban population ie 43 Mn are actively using the Internet. Internet usage among urban individuals is low at 24%.

3. In million 21% increase in PC literacy from 2008 to 2009. 26% increase in active internet user base from 2008 to 2009.
