Introduction  Adders are digital circuits that carry out addition of numbers.  Adders are a key component of Arithmetic Logic unit.  Adders can be constructed for most of the numerical representations like Binary Coded Decimal (BDC).  Adders are also used in table index calculation, address decoding etc. Explain Half Adder and Full Adder with Truth Table

Adders Are Classified Into TwoTypes  Half Adder and Full Adder.  The half adder circuit has two inputs:Aand B.  It add two input digits and generate a carry and sum.  The full adder circuit has three inputs: A, B andC.  It add the three input numbers and generate a carry and sum. 6. 6. • What is Half Adder Circuit ?  The half adder adds two binary digits called as augend and addend.  Half adder produces two outputs as sum and carry.  XOR is applied to both inputs to produce sum.  AND gate is applied to both inputs to produce carry.
