ordinary people are continously filmed, designed to
be entertaining rather than informative”.

Allen Funt’s “Candid Camera” was the first radio
reality show.
“Queen for a Day” (1945-1964) was an early
example of reality-based television.

As a research on “The Survivor” for one episode
shooting is done for 8 hours per day but the episode is
only for 44 min a week.
Even people vote for their favorite contestants , but the
elimination is done on the base of TRP of the show.
In “Jhalak Dikhla Ja” ‘Kiku’ is male but participating as
a female candidate and also not eliminated, even not a
good dancer compared to the others.
In the “Comedy Nights With Kapil” all the questions
are told to audience, that they have to ask.
