How to Win at Life

Whether you're seeking inspirational quotes, words of advice, or maybe you're just
looking for someone else to confirm what you already know deep down inside, this will
help you "win at life". Winning isn't about being rich, or having everything. It's about
meeting your own goals, and living which ever way makes you happy.

1) Write down what you HAVE to do tomorrow, not just stuff people said you needed
to do, or think you need to do. Write a list, and then go down it slowly eliminating
things you don't REALLY HAVE to do.
2) Rip it up, shred it, whatever...(don't burn it, unless you have to)
3) Take a deep breath, and remember no matter what happens, good or bad you are
in control. If something negative happens, or if something positive happens, life is still in
your hands. We all tend to forget this at times, because we are overwhelmed by the
stress in our lives, and control just seems like a fairy tale. But that doesn't mean it's not
there. It's just dormant.
4) Don't Forget: Life is what you make it, good or bad, right or wrong, none of that truly
exists. It's all up to your own views and ideas about the world, not your parents, not your
consular, not your best friends, and certainly not some punk that doesn't know the first
thing about who you really are, at work/school.
5) If you feel like no one understands, or listens to you, you're almost always
right. They don't because how can they? In life, no one will ever fully understand
someone unless the person in question wants them to (or allows them). So if you can't
find a person to reveal these things to, you need a journal where you can express
yourself, like your own little world.
6) Despite what the world says it's horrible to hide yourself, and who you are, as well
as hiding your emotions. We are by nature expressive creatures. It goes against who
we are to hide who we are. We tend to put up barriers based off of our disappointments,
and losses in life. But those barriers are like training wheels on a bike. They're great for
learning, but if you never take them off, you'll never be able to ride that 2-wheeled bike,
because you're too afraid that you will just fall. So try in small ways, baby step by baby
step, revealing your true self. Even if it's just to yourself at first.
7) Cry, if you need to (or help others realize this). It's nothing to be ashamed of. In fact,
it's medically healthy, physically, emotionally, and psychologically. Allowing yourself that
type of freedom is a medicine to the body, just don't over do it and go crazed into a
massive uproar. Voice your opinion, but for now keep it to yourself. Expressing yourself
to others takes time, but expressing yourself to yourself should be instant.
8) Reach out, don't forget you are not the only person in the world with
problems. The pain of loss and regret is something a lot of people feel daily. That

common idea is something that draws people close together when given the chance.
Because people who suffer are more prone to understanding others who've suffered.
Control your emotions, don't let them control you: Most people are afraid of their
own ideas, and emotions. Don't forget emotions are powerful weapons, or tools, based
on how you use them. Emotions are not something extra that is attached to you. It is
something we all create (we make it up as we go). You think before you feel. Your
thoughts judge your events in your life based off of your own ideas and personal beliefs,
which determines the way you look at events in your life. If you ever have a problem
you're stuck on and can't understand, maybe you're looking at it the wrong way.
Love. The average person thinks love is something confined for people who are
physically involved and have a family but that is not true. That is only an illusion. In fact,
it's more or less of a bonus. Having kids is simply reproduction. Any John/Jane DOE can
have intercourse. It takes a real person to be a mother and father. Family is the people
you hold close to your heart, and vice-versa. Don't think that love is only limited to a
short range of people. LOVE is not just an emotion, it's a way of life. It's who you are,
and those who wish to be loved, need to not only love others, but also love themselves.
Listen. Even if you have your own problems, or you think you know what's best for
someone else. Sometimes all someone needs is a helping hand, a loving heart, an open
mind, a closed mouth. Above all a person to just listen to them. We all hear things, but
how many of us truly listen to nature, or life, or lessons, or even the most simple things
around us, let alone someone who needs help?
Repeat! And repeat again, because life never ends without your say so. Almost
everyone who dies, dies long before they truly die (excluding accidents). You die, when
your heart fades away, you give up your hope, and you stop caring about yourself, or
others. But don't worry if this is you. It's never too late to make a change, not if you have
500 years left, or 500 seconds. Don't regret what you've been through or done, because
while your past may define who your are today, only you can decide who you will be
tomorrow.

Pick up a hobby (Start doing things YOU like to do)
Be passionate in everything you do. When you show and excrete passion through actions; your
actions teach and motivate, hence making you a leader rather then same ol' " monkey see
monkey do"
Yesterday is gone and forgotten,focus on tomorrow by building strong foundation today. Life is
like a page of a book, you can't change what has been written, but you can always make every
page BETTER.
Don't sweat the small stuff. (Life is too short to worry about EVERYTHING)
Eliminate stressful things in your life (You can't get rid of all of them but there are a few things
that you think you have to do but you really don't)
Write a book! (This helps express yourself)
Relate (everyone needs someone to hear them out, you can not take the world on alone.)
Take longer showers! (Gives you more time to recuperate)
Don't be afraid of yourself. Have confidence and don't be self conscious.
Hating people takes too much energy. Try to be a better person by loving and being kind to
everyone.
