9th IACEE 2004 paper presentation This paper discusses the need to identify global and local requirements for the development of an objective evaluation system for architecture. This paper proposes a framework for identifying global and local requirements for the development of an objective evaluation system for architecture. It considers the basic elements of professional competency to be; education, experience, and examination, and put emphasis on continuing education as an effective tool to attain global and local professional competency requirements.
