I strive to create an active and supportive learning environment with rich opportunities for meaningful exploration of our world and ourselves. My background in environmental interpretation, informal science education, outdoor skills, and art has provided me with unique tools for teaching across the curriculum. I am passionate about small, student-centered schools and project-based learning. My students are encouraged to formulate and pursue questions of personal interest. Fostering students' ability to confidently navigate the learning process is paramount.
