This post is vital for people who find themselves thinking about establishing a Home Based Business
and people who have decided to get started. You may be starting your small business on a part-time
or fulltime basis. It does not truly make a difference. In any event, you have to observe the proper
actions. It doesn't matter what your degree of knowledge, we have to be constantly going over and
revising our business plans.
Occasionally I actually have a chance to do business from home within my home business office.
There are lots of advantages to this such as saving cash on gasoline and lunch. My all-time favorite
dream with regards to working at home has to be me in my pj's with a piping-hot mug of coffee, legs
propped up while doing work at my outdoor table or on a balcony somewhere overlooking the

2. The lottery mentality and "shiny object syndrome" that has been
sweeping the web since network marketers have been online is easy to get caught up in it. There's
always the next, greatest thing, that's going to make people rich.
The truth is: there is no such thing as unearned success. It takes time, dedication and persistence to
create success, and so many people don't realize this.
If you are looking at the industry leaders and comparing yourself to them, then just stop. You can't
compare yourself to the top leaders because you have not put in the work that they have.
A lot of this has to do with the employee mentality. People want to hear that it's going to be easy,
that they can quit their job in the next 3 months, that they can earn $1000 this month. But the
reality is that hard work is required and there is no such thing as easy success.
How to know if you have the lottery mentality...
>>You ask yourself questions like..."How quickly can I make $5000 in a month?", "How quickly can I
leave my job?", "How many hours do I need to work in my business?".
Does it really matter? Are you going to quit because it takes you 6 months to earn your first $200? If
you are, then you may as well just quit now. The road to success has to involve an attitude of "no
matter what".
If you are going to quit because you don't make $5000 by your third month, then you are just
making the industry look bad. You have to get over the "get rich quick" mentality.
How long is it going to take you to achieve success? The answer is simple: as long as it takes. If you

3. never give up, no matter what and have that attitude, then everything else will come together.
There is a certain level of growth that needs to happen within you. You need to set yourself up for
success and the way to do that is to know what to expect. To understand the reality of what is
required to build a successful business.
>>Do you find yourself looking for the newest, high paying
compensation plan? Do you find yourself looking for the guru or company that is going to make you
money the fastest?
>>Do you start and stop a lot? Moving from new opportunity to new opportunity?
>>Do you find yourself looking at the days and weeks ahead instead of the long term vision? Are
you thinking short term instead of long term?
>>Do you sponsor shop? Looking for that one person who is going to make successful.
You need to stop thinking about the money and instead focus on how you can help people. The
money and success is in the relationships you build and the lives you impact. As Zig Ziglar said "if
you help enough people get what they want, you will get everything you want".
Develop a greater vision for your future. The main reason people jump from opportunity to
opportunity is they are lacking a clear vision for what they want for their life.
You need to start taking steps to become the leader that you seek. Be coachable, be a student,
become valuable. Become so valuable that people naturally want to join you. You have to work on
that. You're not just going to jump onto the Internet and instantly have influence and authority. It
takes time.
