Matthew 9:32-34

Matt 9
32 As they went out, behold, they brought to him a dumb man possessed
with a devil.
This man had two problems 1) he was dumb 2) he was possessed
with a devil; not all dumb have a devil, and not all who have a devil
are dumb.
Luke 11:14 And he was casting out a devil, and it was dumb.
And it came to pass, when the devil was gone out, the dumb
spake; and the people wondered.
Exod 4:11-12 11 And the LORD said unto him, Who hath
made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the
seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?
12 Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach
thee what thou shalt say.
Isa 35:6 Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the
tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters

By learningobedience as a Centurion he could understandspiritual
authority. Centurions in the Bible are mentioned in an honorable
light:

Spirit (Act 10:1,45)

ï· One bad- did not listen to Paul (Act 27:11)
Luke 7
9 When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him
about, and said unto the people that followedhim, I say unto you, I have
not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
Matt 8:10-12 10 When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to
them that followed, VerilyI say unto you, I have not found so great
faith, no, not in Israel.
11 And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and
west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in
the kingdomof heaven.
12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer
darkness: there shall be weepingand gnashingof teeth.

Jesus is not uniting Jew and Gentile here but tellingof
possibilityof Gentile privilege in the Kingdom (Mil.).
If you try to force the interpretation of âchildren of the
kingdomâ to mean âChurch-age Christianâthen he some
âChristiansâgo to hell.
Jesus is tellingthem just being a Jew is not enough; they must
accept him as Messiah; that was the mystery of the kingdom.
âNot even the âChildren of the Kingdomâ are safe.â
Matt 13:11 He answeredand said unto them, Because it
is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom
of heaven, but to them it is not given.
Luke 12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's
good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

10 And they that were sent, returningto the house, found the servant
whole that had been sick.
