  4. There is no one best answer. Without a commitment to each step, managing diversity can be ineffective. Students should be prepared to discuss the consequences of removing any step. For example, what happens when management is not committed?
  5. Diversity X-men   All over the world, children are born with a mutant gene – the X factor. This mutant gene allows them to perform extraordinary feats – walking through walls, controlling the weather and reading minds. They are hated and persecuted by the rest of the human race. Dr. Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart) has brought as many of these children together in his school in order to teach them how to control their gifts. Eric Lensherr as Magneto (Ian McKellen) has built a machine that will turn everyone into a mutant.   In this scene, Jean Grey (Famke Janssen) is talking to Congress about pending legislation to register mutants. Use any ethnic group instead of the word ‘mutant’ and poll student responses.
