3. Participants of the project
Zvereva Maria – a very resposible person, makes
everything in time, never allows herself weakening.
Zhilina Olexandra – easy going person, likes the
humanities, dreams to become a teacher of
primary classes.
Poklad Kate – a confident person, always ready to
take part in past time activities.
Shiminkov Nikita – a very positive person,
kind, an example of model student.

4. PROBLEMS PROJECT’S REALIZATION
During the project’s realization we had got some problems.
1.There are a lot of celebrities in our town.
2.Many honorary citizens had gone.
3.It’s impossible to mention all the famous people in the project.
4.We discussed these problems many times and decided to describe
only several persons.
5.There was much material in our local museum’s archives.

5. Actuality of the problem
The problem we researched has a very important meaning.
There are a lot of places of interest in our native town.
One can find a great deal with secluded spots and quiet streets to spend a
good time in our time.
One can take pleasure in any cosy cafė carelessly jabbering about living
problems.
Our green and dear town is worth visiting.
But we have forgotten that people are invaluable potential. People of
Khartsyzsk are the power that created all the cultural, material and spiritual
values.
Can you imagine all the beauties, achievements in cultural, industrial, and
political spheres without people? Sure not.
We must know and remember those people who glorified our town.
So, the people in Khartsyzsk – is the object of our research.

6. Aim and goals of the project
Aim – to prove our native town has a great human, creative and hardworking
potential.
Goals :
• to find interesting information about our fellow-townsmen ;
• to prove our native town has got a great deal of people famous all over
Ukraine and other countries ;
• to convince the surrounding people that people from Khartsyzsk are making a
very important, serious work, capable to astonish and to charm ;
• to convince the people our fellow-townsmen have been doing a great benefit
not only for our native town, but for our Motherland also.

7. Gaponenko Nickolay Ivanovich
Honorary citizen og Khartsyzsk.
He contributed much for the development of our native town. He had a talent for
organization and great human qualities.
He worked much. Thanks to his activity quickly had been built 2 new micro-districs in
Khartsyzsk-Metallurgov and Jubileyney, Settlement Zugres-2. A new raiway staition was
built in Ilovaysk.
Nickolay Ivanovich personally checked up work in many building sites.
He paid attention on native town’s planning and organization of public services.
Khartsyzsk became beautiful with monuments in honour of pilots and tank drivers.
Only thanks to Gaponenko’s initiative and persistence such objects as a trolleybus
communication, cinema “Rus”, a new telephone complex, etc.,were built.
He finished building of the swimming-pool “Silur” and arranged its work.
In 2007 one of the streets in our town was named in his honour. So was immortalized
memory about this beautiful man.
He left a kind sing on his native land.

8. Kuzina Vera Ivanovna
She was given the rank “Honorary Citizen of Khartsyzsk” in 1964.
The Central Committee of the Communist Party recalled her to work in regions,
released from fascists in 1943.
She was given the medal “For Distinguished Public Service during the Great
Patriotic war 1941-1945”.
Vera Ivanovna was twice given the badge “For Excellent Results in National
Education”.
She was a former honorable pioneer of the secondary school №1.

9. Petrenko Gregorey Ivanovich
He was given a rank “Honorary citizen of Khartsyzsk” in 1994. Petrenko G.I. was a
participant of the Great Patriotic War.
He was at the head of the municipal water-supply. He created a durable material
and technical foundation for one of the advanced municipal establishments.
During the period of his work the municipal water-supply has become exemplary
branch of production in Ukraine.
Gregorey Ivanovich Petrenko was a deputy of the municipal Soviet.
In 1971 he was awarded with a silver medal all-union Achievements National
Economy of the USSR.
In 1974 he was awarded with an Order of “Labour Red Flag” for a good work for
development of municipal services.

10. Pregoda Alexander Afanasyevich
He was given a rank “Honorary citizen of Khartsyzsk” in 1969. He was a
participant of Civil and Great Patriotic Wars. He took an active part in the
social life of our town. Thanks to his initiative, his experience of living,
knowledge of history a museum of history of Khartsyzsk was created.
In 1969 he was given a rank “Personal Pensioner of the USSR”.

11. Zhuck Ivan Vasilyevich
Zhuck Ivan Vasilyevich was given a rank “Honorary Citizen of Khartsyzsk” in 1994.
Building has become a goal of his life. He worked as a chief of building board №2
in trust “Makeyev Building”, took part in building of the Tube Works, Steel Wire and
rope Plant.
A lot of buildings in our town were built with a guidance of Ivan Vasilyevich Zhuck.
Among them are cultural establishments, a complex of the municipal hospital, 5
schools, 5 kindergartens. He was at the heard building municipal Soviet of the
People’s Deputies.
This a very hard-working man was awarded with 7 medals and with Honorary
Deed of the Supreme Soviet of Ukraine.

12. Kovalyov Sergey Victorovich
One of the brightest representatives of young generation. He is a very famous
mountaineer. In 2008 he subjugated mountain Everest, the highest peak in the world.
He was at the head of this expedition, he and 2 other sportsmen from Donetskaya
Region placed flags of Ukraine and Donetskaya region on the top of mountain. They
lifted pieces of coal from the mines of Donbas on mountain Everest too.
Nowadays Sergey Kovalyov is one of the most famous mountaineers of Ukraine.
He is a very skilled sportsman, purposeful, persistent person.
He dreams to create a mountaineering section in Khartsyzsk, to carry away children
and young people.
