online market place at www.hktdc.com which connecting one million buyers and 120,000
suppliers. The representative of HKTDC encourages Malaysia SMEs to register themselves in
this platform in helping them to reach China market as well as international market easily.
There were over 13 million business connections done through HKTDC service.
HKTDC is a statutory body established in 1996 as the international marketing arm for Hong
Kong-based traders, manufacturers and service providers. It provides a range of services to

5. CyberSecurity to train more security profession via ISPA

SERI KEMBANGAN: The Information Security Professionals Association (The ISPA) is established
by CyberSecurity Malaysia, a government agency under Ministry of Science, Technology and
Innovation (or MOSTI), to mentor IT security talents for the cyber security industry.
CyberSecurity believes the ISPA able to contribute to the local information security
professionals to better protect the citizen from cyber crime, especially online fraud – the major
cyber crime in the country.
The association currently has 124 registered members and is targeting to get more than 2,700
certified information security professionals to fulfil the demand for cyber security professionals
which is risen recently due the world is adopting a digital lifestyle.

7. Japan E-Commerce Giant enters Malaysia E-Commerce market

PETALING JAYA: Japan’s leading e-commerce company, Rakuten Inc. has extended its foot print
into Malaysia as its third e-commerce market entry in Southeast Asia, after Thailand (as TARAD)
in 2009 and Indonesia (as Rakuten Belanja Online) in 2011.
According to Rakuten Malaysia’s President and CEO Masaya Ueno, the company is going to
launch an online shopping mall in the country end of year 2012. He believes that the Rakuten
