LOAD
Door is opened, body and wool
coffin are loaded onto the
internal stainless steel basket in
the Resomation capsule ,the
door is closed and locks
automatically
4. PREPARATION
The process is then started and the Load
cells automatically weigh the body and
system calculates the corresponding
amount of water and alkali to be added
depending on the size of the person
5. FILL
The correct
amount of water
and alkali is added
to the Resomator
6. HEAT UP & RESOMATION
The vessel is heated to approx 150 C
by passing steam through the
internal coil and the solution
continuously mixed allowing a fast
Resomation to occur
7. HEAT UP & RESOMATION
After around 1.5 hours all that is left
is scattered soft white bones
8. COOL DOWN
The contents of the
Resomator are cooled by
passing cold water through
the internal coil
9. DRAIN
When the Resomation process is complete the vessel is
drained to leave only the porous bone cremains
10. RINSE
After the liquid has been drained the vessel and white
bone remains are rinsed with hot water.
11. BONE REMOVAL & DRYING
DRYING OVEN
After rinsing, the remains are removed from the Resomator,
dried and processed in the same way as flame cremation into
a fine, pure white ash. This can be placed in an urn and
returned to loved ones.
