  1. 1. Iron Man. Use of text - Interactive Menu. Brief Description. •Characters are going across the screen. There is colourful imagery used as it’s attracting a children audience. Layers used (compositing video). Techniques Used •Animation, visual effects, computer generated animation, graphics and animation used as the film is live action and computer animated. Dark colours like dark red and grey are used, I think this is because obviously they are aiming more for a male audience with this interactive menu so they are choosing colours that appeal to the male audience, if they were to use colours such as pink and light blue that are classed as more girly colours then people wouldn't perceive the interactive menu in the way they want. Advanced Techniques •The images don’t look very sharp to me, but this is most likely as we are watching this off YouTube. They would have to be of a professional standard so it doesn't look amateur to the audience as that could make them think less of it and not take as much notice. Quite dark music in the background, this could be to make the audience aware of what type of film it is. From listening to the music you get the feeling that it's quite gloomy and action packed. Compression: Codec is short for coder – decoder and describes the method in which video data is encoded into a file decoded when the file is played back. Transcoding is the process of converting from one process to another. Codecs can be lossless which means that they don’t throw away any data, or lossy which means that data is lost during encoding. Lossless codecs are higher quality than lossy codecs, but produce larger files.
