Leadership is the ability to influence a person or a group towards the achievement of
goals.
In its simplest forms, leadership involves-
Identification of goals (Vision)
Selection of right path to follow (Strategy)
Enthusing or influencing the followers to follow that path willingly (Motivation)
WHY LEADERSHIP
Leadership is required to-
• Direct group activities
• Ensure effective utilization of manpower
• Motivate all concerned
• Develop good human relations across the board
• Promote spirit of co-ordination
• Fulfil social responsibilities
• Influence the behaviour of the members
• Create confidence among the members
