We proudly present our part of the first issue of the eTwinning project called "THE EUROPEAN SCHOOLS NEWSPAPER". The 4th, 5th and 6th grade learners of the Primary School of Sourpi have joined their forces to present themselves to their European peers and get to know more about them!

Thanassis – 5th
grade
My name is Thanassis and I am 11
years old. My eyes are blue and my hair is brown.
I am a pupil in the 5th
class of the Primary School
of Sourpi. I am a very good student and I study
very hard.
There are six people in my family. They are my
father, my mother, my sister, Mary, my brother,
George, my baby sister and me. We are a happy
family, because we spend a lot of time together
and we help each other.
I live in a big, nice house in Sourpi. I am very
proud of my town, because it has got everything,
sea, mountains, countryside and a lot of
interesting places.
In my free time I enjoy playing and cycling with
my friends. I love going fishing with my father on
our boat. If we are lucky, we catch some fish!
What fun the next day, when we can have them
freshly cooked for our lunch!
Evelina - 4th
grade
My name is Evelina. I am ten years old. I come
from Sourpi. I am in D’ Class.
My mum’s name is Mary and my dad’s name is
Panagiotis. I have got two brothers, too,
Mimis and Nikos.
Our house has got three floors, a big garden
and a parking. It is a beautiful house. Also, I
have got a dog. His name is Dexter. It’s white,
black and a little brown.
I like football, dancing, singing and volleyball.
My hobby is cycling. My favourite food is
‘pastitsio’. My favourite colours are pink, light
yellow and light green.

Costas – 6th

My name is Costas, I am twelve years old and I live in Sourpi. There are eight people in my family. My
dad, Alekos, is a fireman and my mum, Maria doesn’t work because I have got five brothers and sisters:
my older sister, Foteini, my younger sister Chryssa and Christine and my younger brother Jim. My
hobbies are football, basketball and cycling. I have also got a dog. Its name is Rex and I love it!
Georgia – 5th
grade
Hi! I am Georgia! I am 10 years old and I am in E’ Class. I am tall, I have long hair, I have brown hair and
I am thin. I like sports like volleyball, basketball, volleyball at the beach, tennis, baseball and golf. I like
eating fruit, vegetables, candies, chocolates, fast food, croissants, toasted sandwiches, pizzas,
doughnuts, popcorn, bake rolls and home-made food.
Evaggelia – 4th
grade
Hi! My name is Evaggelia. I live in Sourpi and I am in D’
Class. I have a small nose, ears and eyes. I have brown eyes.
I am nine years old and I am beautiful.
My family is friendly and kind. My mum cooks very well,
makes delicious cakes with chocolate or vanilla. My dad is
very kind in his job. My sister goes to the 6th
class and is
very good.
My house is very beautiful. It has four floors and a garden with thirteen trees and a lot of flowers.
I like playing football, watching TV and reading books. My favourite singer is Stan. My favourite friends
are Kate and Georgia. My favourite sport is … playing with my cat and dog! My cat is white and it has
blue eyes. My dog is white with black fur and has brown eyes. I like spaghetti with meat and sweets like
doughnuts with chocolate!

Simona – 5th

My name is Simona, I am 11 years old and I go to the 5th
class of Primary
School. My mother is Vana, my father is Sokol and my brother is Emiliano. My
favourite sport is football. In the afternoon I like playing football with my
brother. My favourite athlete is Lionel Messi. My favourite subjects are
Language, Maths, History, Art, Music and Physical Education.
Evi – 5th

Hi, I am Evi and I am 10 years old. I am from Sourpi. My
favourite subject is English, because I want to write good English.
My mum’s name is Vasso and my dad’s name is Vaggelis. I have got
two brothers and one sister. My sister is very beautiful and my
brother is always relaxed!

In my house I have got a big brother and a little sister. I have got a dad and a mum. My house is big.
It has got a kitchen, two bathrooms, a living room, a bedroom and three rooms.

Hercules – 6th

My name is Hercules and I am 11 years old.
I go to the 6th
Class of Primary School. I
was born and raised in Athens but my
family and I moved in Agia Triada three
years ago.
My hobbies are karate and playing PC
games. Also, I usually go driving with my
father so that I can learn how to move on
my own! My favourite subjects are Maths
and P.E.
When I grow up I

military pilot so as to

My family is small. I have got
one brother, a father and a

cats!
My house is big. It has got a kitchen, a bathroom, a
living room, a hall, two bedrooms and a garden.
My favourite sports are riding a bike, running, riding a
horse, and tae kwon do. My favourite hobby is watching
TV. My favourite foods are pastitsio and meat. My

I’m in E’ class of the Primary School of
Sourpi.
I am tall and thin. I have
beautiful, long, brown hair and
brown eyes. I am good and
polite. I love animals a lot and I
like flowers.
My favourite colours are pink and purple.
My favourite foods are spaghetti and
pizza. I like ice cream a lot! I am a good
pupil and my favourite subjects are
English and French. I love school and my
friends!
Maria – 6th
grade
Hi, everyone! My name is Maria
and I am almost 12 years old. I
have brown eyes and hair. I am
not very tall and also I am thin.
In my free time I love listening to music, singing foreign
music, exercising my body, hanging out with my friends,
so I spend my time enjoyably! In my opinion, I am a good
student and I have high marks. When I grow up, I want
to be a military officer, because I love it!
Additionally, my mum’s name is Krina and she comes from
Romania. Nikos is my dad and he comes from Greece. I
also have two brothers, Thomas and Alex. Thomas is 14
and Alex is 10 years old. Every day I fight with my
brothers because we disagree, but I love them! That’s
all about me and my family!

My name is George. I am 10 years old. I live in Sourpi with my parents and my brother,
Chris. I am a pupil in the 5th
Class of Primary School. I love school very much! I am
very good at Maths. In my free time I love riding my bike and playing football. At the
weekend I visit my friends and we play computer games.
Dina – 4th
grade
Hi! My name is Dina and I am 10 years old. I come from Greece and I live in
Sourpi, a small village near Volos. I am a pupil in D’ Class.
I live with my family. My dad’s name is Christos, my mum’s Mina and my
sister’s Mary. My house is big. There are ten rooms and there are two floors.
I have got three pets, two dogs and one cat.
My favourite sport is football and my hobbies are drawing pictures and playing computer games. I
like eating fish, chicken with potatoes and moussaka. My favourite colours are blue and green.
Fotini – 6th
grade
Hi! My name is Fotini and I am eleven years old. I go to the Primary School
in the fifth class. I live in Sourpi, a small beautiful village in Greece.
I’m fond of gymnastics and reading books. My favourite food is spaghetti
with minced meat, but my favourite colours are green and blue. In my free
time I either watch TV or play with my friends.
My family is quite big. My mum, Eleni, is the cook in the house and she helps all of us in our family.
She treats me and my siblings the same! My dad, Thanassis, is a farmer and he brings the money in
the house. He teases us very often, but, for me, he is the best father! My brother, Stathis, is a
student in the third class of Junior High School. He teases us, too! My sister, Angela, is a student in
the first class of Junior High School. My sister and I go to the English school together.
Vaggelis – 5th
grade
My name is Vaggelis. I am 10 years old. My mum is Nitsa and my dad is Chris, he works
at a factory. My favourite subjects are History and Maths. My favourite colours are
blue, red and yellow.
Kostas – 6th
grade
My name is Kostas. I am eleven years old and I am from Greece. I am in the 6th
Class. I have a
younger brother and a younger sister in my family. There’s also my mum and dad! My house is in the
village. It is big and it has a kitchen, a bathroom, a living room and bedrooms. I have got a pet, it is
big and beautiful. My favourite sport is football for many reasons. First of all, I keep fit and
communicate with my friends. Second, it is fun and I become sociable. My hobby is playing
basketball and I also study. My favourite food is spaghetti and pizza. My favourite colours are red,
yellow, green and black.

My name is Valanta. I am 11 years old and I am in the 5th
grade of Primary School.
My hair is brown and my eyes, too. I like playing volleyball, basketball and football
with my brother. I have got two dogs called Ira and Dia. Ira has got brown, black
and white fur. Dia has got black and white fur. Ira’s eyes are brown and Dia’s are
black. I like animals, but my favourite are dogs!

Stella – 6th

My name is Stella and I am 11 years
old. I live in Sourpi, Greece. I am tall
and I have got brown eyes.
I have got a brother, George. He goes to High
School. He is taller than me and he has got brown
hair and eyes, too. My family is very happy, generous
and gentle and we do not want to hurt other people. I
LOVE MY FAMILY VERY MUCH!
Giassemi - Maria – 6th
grade
My name is Giassemi – Maria. I am eleven
year old. I am tall and thin. I have blonde
hair and brown eyes. I like white shirts,
jeans, accessories and All*Star shoes. I
like History, Maths, Physical Education
and English.
My family is big, beautiful
and happy. My sister,
Valadia, is 15. My sister, Eva,
is 5. In my free time I love
listening to music and
dancing. Sometimes I
disagree with my sisters,
but I love them. That’s all
about me!
Zoe – 5th
grade
My name is Zoe. I am 10,5 years old. I come from
Pelion and I go to E’ Class.
My favourite pet is my puppy. It is
such a friendly and sympathetic
animal and I love it! There are four
other people in my family: my
mother, my father and my two big
sisters.
I sometimes go to the swimming pool and, after that,
I go to ballet. My favourite hobby is painting and in
my free time I listen to music. I like eating potatoes
with chicken, fish and fruit. All of my pencils are
pink, because it is my favourite colour, but I like red,
too. That is my life and I am very glad for this!
Chryssa – 5th
grade
My name is Chryssa. I am eleven years old and I live
in Sourpi. We are a big family. There are seven
people in my family: my mum, Maria, my dad, Alekos,
my sister, Foteini, my brother, Kostas, my younger
brother, my younger sister, Christine and me. My
father is a firefighter and my mum doesn’t work.
My hobbies are volleyball, football and
cycling. I have also got a pet dog. Its
