Steve Virgadamo is an Associate Director at the University of Notre Dame's Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE), where he provides customized guidance and mentorship to help Catholic schools and administrators address opportunities and challenges. He has over 20 years of experience in Catholic school management, having previously served as Vice President for Catholic School Management, Inc., where he helped strengthen advancement efforts. Throughout his career, Steve Virgadamo has worked diligently to improve academic excellence, Catholic identity, governance, enrollment management, and business operations at Catholic schools to ensure all children can experience an excellent Catholic education.

Dame’s Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE), Notre Dame,
Indiana as an Associate Director. ACE strives to sustain,

teachers, administrators, and leaders to serve the children in
Catholic Schools. ACE ensures that all children experience the
gift of an excellent Catholic Education. Steve Virgadamo

school. Steven Virgadamo’s mantra at ACE is “we must work
collabroratively and do whatever it takes to enroll more
children in great Catholic schools”.
4. Being in the responsible position, he facilitates strategic
planning for schools and diocesan systems; provides
professional development and classroom instruction in areas
of school administration; and conducts strategic assessment of
schools and school systems. Steven Virgadamo also worked
as a Chief Development Officer (North American Territory)
for Legion of Christ, Inc., Thornwood, NY, which is a global
religious congregation focusing on education, youth,
missions, family ministry, and social work. While working
there for almost four years, he was responsible for strategic
fundraising direction, resource planning, and fundraising
operations. He not only assessed existing philanthropic
strengths and opportunities, but also created a strategic vision
for long-term growth and success in development. He led
initiatives to streamline costs and increased philanthropic
support from $18 million to $22 million annually.
5. Steve Virgadamo served prestigious Catholic School
Management, Inc. (CSM), as Vice President for more than
two decades. CSM is an inter-national leader in consultative
guidance for Catholic educational institutions and provides
comprehensive consulting services in all areas of business
and operational development. As a VP, Steven provided
strategic vision to the firm and supervised staff involved in
strengthening the advancement efforts and board
development of Catholic educational institutions within the
US and abroad.
6. He worked as a Senior Consultant and General
Counsel on projects in more than 2000 Catholic
Schools in 43 states and 75 dioceses. He developed
and executed training programs for board members
and cultivated new business opportunities. He also
published various articles on fundraising management
and educational administration. Steven Virgadamo’s
dedication to Catholic School Education is based on
his premise that while many not for profits can treat
the symptoms of poverty and social injustice,
successful Catholic Schools treat the disease.
