2. About St. Jude Leadership Society
Inspired by our founder, Danny Thomas, St. Jude Leadership
Society is a leadership development experience for high school
students who share in our commitment to give back to country
and community through service and leadership by promoting and
supporting the mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®.
St. Jude Leadership Society encourages a focus on gratitude
and good citizenship, building your personal brand, diversity
and inclusion, leading with purpose and how we can all be
at our best through a series of leadership development sessions.
St. Jude recognizes the importance of mentorship and community,
and encourages collaboration and shared learning throughout
this experience.

childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Families never
receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food—because all a
family should worry about is helping their child live.

Member Commitment
All SJLS members are asked to…
Attend and participate in Leadership
Development Sessions where you will have
an opportunity to meet and learn from dynamic
local leaders.
Select an adult mentor who will join you on
this journey. He/she will attend all meetings
with you and assist you with your leadership
development and fundraising plans.
Challenge yourself to raise a minimum of
$2,500 by June 15, 2020. We will give you the
tools, training and resources you need to be
successful! All SJLS members who raise $2,500
by June 15, 2020 will be invited to complete their
leadership training at St. Jude during the SJLS
Memphis Experience.
