We know that being active is an essential element of maintaining a healthy weight and helping to reduce your
cancer risk. One of the easiest and most enjoyable ways to meet this goal is by engaging in physical activity that
feels like play. So, the American Cancer Society is issuing a challenge to women: choose play in May and help
inspire 100,000 acts of physical activity throughout the month!
Play can be anything that gets you breathing harder and your heart beating faster, from riding your bike or
gardening to playing tag or hula-hooping at the office. All types of activity count, as long as you're doing them for
at least 150 minutes of moderate intensity or 75 minutes of vigorous intensity each week. Part of the fun in playing
is sharing the experience with others! We need your help to inspire 100,000 acts of physical activity by sharing
how you choose play in May.
These sample Facebook and Twitter messages should be used with the information presented in the Choose
