2. Our local area already collects some recycling from our homes glass, tins and garden waste paper

3. We are lucky to have 2 recycling centres in our village

4. Things we already do in our school

5. We have been encouraging our students to recycle by visiting the local recycling area

6. Reception used recycled materials and music shakers To make spy scopes

7. Year 1 made some posters to encourage more people to recycle

8. And reused waste packaging to make models

9. Year 2 brought in used packaging from home and visited the recycling centre

10. They discussed what happens to the rubbish when the containers are emptied and made posters

11. Year 4 thought about recycling and created their own recycling superhero posters

12. Year 5 used their ICT time to research water and produced a leaflet to encourage people to be careful about how much they use

13. Year 6 also researched water and made their own fliers to encourage people to think about ways they can save or reuse water

14. We sent some of these projects home to encourage the students parents to recycle and others were displayed around the school and in the local area

16. We thought about ways of recycling, reducing and reusing materials and resources to encourage the next generation to look after the environment
