Teachers are invited to the school library on Mondays after school to explore new media and tech tools. The sessions are called mediamondays@thelibrary. Here's a sample of topics covered.

• Check your programs- you may already have it.
• All you need is a microphone and speakers.

12. How to create a podcast.
• Click on the red button to record.
• Save your project as an mp3.

16. What’s RSS!
• RSS stands for “Really Simple Syndication.”
• RSS is a news aggregator.
• You can subscribe to news sources and blogs!

17. How do I start subscribing?
• Choose an aggregator.
• I use Google Reader, but there are many.

19. Why do I need to use RSS?
• The news has changed! (Discuss amongst
yourselves.)
• The hierarchy of information has toppled in
our lifetime. (No longer top-down.)
• Educators must be familiar with new media
formats because the next generation has
moved on.
