1. Travel wallet
To stash your travel docs,
passport and foreign currency.
Pens
For filling out forms at customs.
Contact details
It’s an absolute must to have a
copy of the contact details and
address of your host university
and the Australian Embassy in
your host country!
Electronics and
chargers
Including laptop and USB.
Hand sanitiser
You don’t want to pick up any
pesky germs or viruses while in
transit!
Snacks
Most flights will supply food of
some kind but you never know
when the munchies might
strike.
Face wipes, lip balm
and moisturiser
This one’s not just for the
ladies. Hours in the sky will dry
your skin out too gentlemen!
Medications
Be sure to include a letter from
your doctor confirming what
medication you’re taking and why.
Entertainment
Pack a book, take your iPad and
don’t forget to download your
favourite USQ Spotify playlist.
Noise-cancelling
headphones
Toothpaste and
toothbrush
Travel-size deodorant
Remember: roll-on only!
Socks and a jumper
There’s nothing worse than
being cold on a long flight.
Travel pillow
Much less awkward than using
the shoulder of the person next
to you!
Spare set of clothes
Just in case your luggage goes
missing or is delayed.
Tissues
Nobody likes a Mr Sniffles.
Lots of water
It may mean you need to use
the aircraft toilets (eww), but
hydration is a must! Just be
sure to double check the liquids
policy of the airline you’re
flying with. There may be
restrictions on what and how
much you can take on board.
