A free one-day conference on human trafficking and the law will be held on December 3rd at the St. Thomas Conference Centre in Manchester. The conference will run from 9:30 to 17:00 and is aimed at NGO staff, local government workers, lawyers, and support services that work with victims of human trafficking. The compulsory sessions will cover identifying human trafficking, working with victims of trauma and abuse, and applying the law to real case studies. There will also be two optional seminars on trafficking victims' rights under EU law and working with trafficked children. Registration is required and can be completed online or via post. The conference is presented by the AIRE Centre, a charity that promotes awareness of European law
