manage a remote team of online tutors
are responsible for quality teaching and assessment
develop the pedagogy of online learning reflected in teaching and learning
methods
co-manage the recruitment, selection and appointment of online tutors
are responsible for producing and monitoring reports
ensure that a high quality learning experience is provided for all learners on
the programme(s)
liaise with UDOL teams (applications, enrolments, marketing, HR)
ensure equity across whole of programme

help you fulfil your online tutor role
oversee the engagement you have with modules to encourage a positive
student-tutor relationship
provide a portal of information (policies, procedures of the University of
Derby and in particular the UDOL stance)
share relevant student, module and examiner feedback to inform future
developments and allow for online tutor voice
encourage your feedback on modules as we value your specialist
knowledge base to improve future authoring and development
ensure we inform you of quality processes (EEC, Assessment, Academic
Board)
have a bank of tutor support for large cohorts & review module content

Solve IT problems ( Please contact IT Services)
Deal with individual learner issues which are connected to fee problems etc

Respond to queries about submission dates, setting up e submission
areas, marking etc (This information is presented in the Tutor Handbook
and also sent out by the Online Tutor Coordinator)
Communicate separately to online tutors sharing a module. It’s imperative
you co operate and collaborate when co tutoring a module
