Audience and Context:
Capzles is an awesome free time lining tool that meets
the needs of teachers and students of all ages and
ability levels.
Capzles is also a free and beneficial tool for businesses
to use to show case their products or services over the
Internet. For example: a landscaping company could
show the progression of a project from start to finish.
Because personal photos and videos can be added to
the themes, colors and backgrounds of Capzles, parents
can make free, one of a kind timelines of their children's
growth. Sound clips of the children talking or singing
can also be added along with video clips!

Integrate Capzles into the classroom:
Capzles is a great way for students to create timelines about any subject. The Web 2.
collaborative aspect of Capzles makes it very appealing to students. It allows them to
gather photos and information and place their work in a visually appealing shared
location.
There are web applications that let you create photo albums (Picasa, Jalbum), and then
there are applications that allow you to create videos and animations (i.e. Animoto).
Sometimes you want something in between those and that is where Capzles comes in.
6. Before beginning a Capzles
be sure to have all of the
images, audio, music, Word
documents and any other
information saved to your
computer for easy access.
8. The tools bar on the left
is all you need to create!! You can view your Capzles as you
create it in this window.
9. Using the bars on the left of the screen
You can add tags to find yuour Capzles,
add descriptions, add your content, design
the background, add music to play while
your Capzles is open and set privacy settings.
The Add Content selection is where you
upload all your images, Word
Docs, Audio, etc…
10. Tagging your Capzles can
make it easy for others to
Search for your presentation.
You can add as many tags or
“search words” as you want.
11. You can select a pre-
made background
or design your own.
12. You can share your Capzles
publicly meaning anyone can
view it or you can set privacy
settings that only allow certain
people to view it.
13. When you have completed your Capzles, this is what it will look like on your screen. You
hover your mouse over the uploaded portion and click on it and you can view the
document, image or audio. The documents will move back and forth as you move your
mouse or you can use the right and left arrows to move the uploads.
