1. Models of evaluation in educational
technology
According to Kirkpatric model, I suggest five items in each level that could be used
to describe participants’ reaction, perceived learning and behavior.
Reaction: questionnaire is the good instrument to evaluate the user` reaction.
1. Software supports existing curriculum.
2. Software adequately meets its objectives.
3. Software would make my job more effective.
4. User can easily navigate between program screens.
5. Program allows user to correct errors.
6. Software is age-appropriate in content & language.
Learning: pre and post-test is the best instrument to evaluate the perceiving learning.
1. Software performs management tasks satisfactorily.
2. Program will be easily integrated into classroom curriculum.
3. Program uses real-life problems and/or authentic scenarios.
4. Program requires students to use higher-level critical thinking.
5. Tools for student assessment are provided and adequate.
Behavior: checklist is the best instrument to evaluate the perceiving behavior.
1. User is able to share the images with other classmates using application.
2. User an able to identify the basic tools in application.
3. User is good in designing the graph in application.
4. User fails to navigate through the application.
5. User is able to link between the tool and its function in application.
