5 - Remommendation From Andreas Wintersteiger For Tushar Somaiya
1. Vienna, Austria - May 15, 2013
To whom it may concern
This letter is in reference to Tushar Somaiya’s application for Certified Scrum Trainer® with the
ScrumAlliance. I have had the opportunity to co-train and interact with Tushar and I am therefore
pleased to fully support his application.
Evidence
1. I personally met Tushar when I invited him to co-train in my CSM class in Pune, India on May
4-5 2013
2. He facilitated three parts in the two days, those were “Scrum Roles”, “Product Backlog and User
Stories” on day one and one part of “During the Sprint” - a discussion of the Scrum Meetings.
Scrum Knowledge
By the chance I have had to interact with Tushar, I could get a view of Tushar’s knowledge about
Scrum. He has a solid understanding of Scrum. I pointed out also his knowledge about Agile and his
experience in applying agile software development, particularly I could see his knowledge in XP
and Scrum. His thinking style very aligned with mine, so we had no issues.
Training Skills
During the co-training I had the opportunity to observe Tushar’s training and facilitation style. He
took over some crucial parts of my training and delivered it to my and the participants’ full
satisfaction. I gave some improvement opportunities in form of feedback to him on day one and
could observe him implement it on the next day.
Tushar has a self-confident and sound style of delivering information, his skills in conveying
information are very good. He is using modern methods, good metaphors and models as well as his
knowledge from brain science in his training style. He was able to present in a convincing way.
