The Social Tale of NGAGEMENT
Once upon a time, in a far away corporate kingdom, Senior Management was troubled with the increasing employee disengagement in their monarchy.
Historical studies also showed, that disengagement in the organization was a result of low motivation and very little appreciation of employee efforts.
The CXO’s were very troubled with the decreasing employee productivityandincreasing employee turnover.
It was amazing how even big expensive rewards were not good enough to keep employees engaged and motivated for long term.
The CEO immediately gave direct order to his HR Head to assemble all units and further investigate.
On being summoned, 55 %employees agreed that the quality of their company’s recognition efforts had a crucial impact on their job performance. *Towers Watson
60% of employees were dissatisfied with their relations with their managers resulting in trivial conflicts  * Kingston Business School
39% of employees also felt that the senior management does not exhibit attitudes and behaviors that reflect they care about the wellbeing of their employees. *Towers Watson
The CXO’s were shocked to here out the response of their subjects  that ‘rewards  alone were not good motivators.’
