2. Analyze the learner
This is a 4th grade class with 18 students, 10 boys and 8 girls. There are 3
students in the class who have mild to severe ADHD. 13 of the students are
White and 5 are African American.
3. Main Objective
The students will be able to briefly explain the Boston Tea Party after watching
a video, summarizing an article, making a poster, and playing an interactive
game with 100% accuracy by the end of the week.
4. Day by Day
• Monday – Introduction to the Boston Tea Party. The students will watch the Schoolhouse
Rock video “Tea Party: No more Kings” and write a paragraph with 5 (accurate) things they
learned from the video.
• Tuesday – The students will get in small groups and read the article from kidspast that I
have printed out. They will then draw a picture and write a short summary of the article.
• Wednesday – Students will start working on their poster and have it completed to present by
Friday.
• Thursday –Students will log onto the computer and play the Boston Tea party game on
www.stencyl.com and complete their posters.
• Friday – Students will present their posters to the class.
