1. Heart Development and Ventricles
Week 1 and 2 Facts, The Development of the Heart:
● your heart chambers will start developing by the time you are 25 days old in
your mothers womb.
● your heart rate is about 110-160 heartbeats per minute
● when you're 5-6 weeks old in your mom's stomach, your heart is finally
beating
● childhood is when your heart beats fastest, because that’s when it’s developing
the most, and it needs more oxygen
Week 3 and 4 Facts, The Ventricles:
● the heart ventricles are two of four heart chambers: the right and left
atriums, and the right and left ventricles.
● the ventricles' job is to pump blood to the rest of the body
● The left ventricle gets the oxygenated blood from the left atrium and then
gives the blood to the aortic valve
● The right ventricles gets the deoxygenated air from the right atrium, and gives
the blood to the pulmonary valve, this is what happens each time it beats
● a result of the left ventricle failing is a heart attack, because the heart won't
be able to give blood to your body
