11. Two Part Asphalt Re-Surface
GENERAL USES
Typical areas include parking lots,
driveways and highways.
Evergreen Asphalt Re-Surface can
be applied with squeegees in
order to patch, repair, and
resurface asphalt. Evergreen
asphalt coating is used in place of
a traditional sealcoat for a high
performance coating that lasts.
FEATURES
Evergreen Asphalt Re-Surface is used for exterior and interior applications that can be traffic
bearing, or sloped to drains, and used to fill spalls and low areas. It is also slip/skid resistant,
abrasive resistant. Utilizing permaseal imparts greater resistance to salts and attack acids and
alkalis. Evergreen Asphalt Coating has superior flexural, tensile, and compressive strengths, in
comparison to ordinary asphalt’s chemical makeup.
12. Two Part Asphalt Re-Surface
SURFACE PREPARATION
The prepared surface must be
clean and structurally sound.
Sweeping and water blasting are
two methods of preparing the
surface. All oil spots must be
treated with degreaser or chipped
out and patched before final
coating is applied. Substrate must
be 40 F and rising before
installation. Surfaces at or above
150 F must be cooled before
installation. Pre dampen the
surface are, but leaving no
puddles.
13. Two Part Asphalt Re-Surface
APPLICATION
If any patching and repair is needed,
mix Evergreen Liquid Activator one to
one with clean water, then adding the
asphalt coating powder to the
premixed liquid. This should have a
similar consistency as that of pancake
batter. Then patch any spalled areas
or cracks. Cracks caused from freezing
and then thawing should be treated in
accordance to asphalt standards.
Once all repaired areas are dry, mix
Evergreen Asphalt Activator one to
one with clean water. Then add
approximately ten quarts of premix, all
in a clean mixing vessel. Next
thoroughly mix in one 50 lb bag of mix.
This mix can be squeegeed or sprayed
to create a thin uniform coating. Once
dry a thin coat of permaseal can be
sprayed over the entire area to add a
coating of stain resistance and color
retention.
14. Two Part Asphalt Re-Surface
CHEMICAL MAKEUP
Evergreen Asphalt Re-Surface
imparts additives, which enhance
the cement in the system. Special
polymers create adhesion and
flexibility essential in a thin
topping. Our use of high-
reactivity metakaolin pozzolan
(HRM) admixture increases
strength reduces permeability,
and shrinkage, by combining with
calcium hydroxide which is
produced during the hydration
stage of the cement. The HRM
also helps improve chemical
resistance and reduces
efflorescence and alkali-silica
reactions.

18. Two Part Broom Finish
GENERAL USES
Typical areas include parking decks,
driveways, sidewalks, parking lots, or
any horizontal concrete surface
requiring repair of spalled areas, low
spots, etc. Overlay system is usually
applied with first a bond coat using
squeegees, then doubled back with a
broom finish. Overlay is first placed in
low areas screeded off to proper
elevation. A second application
utilizing a broom finish is then placed to
cover repaired areas for a consistent
finish. The quartz aggregate in the
system gives a slip-resistant finish and is
usually sprayed with permaseal to
penetrate and protect against
staining. In areas subject to heavy
traffic or forklift traffic, a non-rusting
aluminum oxide aggregate can be pre-
blended in the cementitous part of the
system.
FEATURES
Broomed overlay is used for exterior and interior applications
that can be traffic bearing, or sloped to drains, and used to fill
spalls and low areas. It is also slip/skid resistant, abrasive
resistant. Utilizing permaseal imparts greater resistance to
salts and attack acids and alkalis, giving it flexural and tensile
strengths far superior to concrete.
19. Two Part Broom Finish
SURFACE PREPARATION
Remove all laitance,
efflorescence, chemical
contaminants, grease, oil, old
paint, and other foreign matter.
The prepared surface must be
clean and structurally sound.
Shot blasting, scarifying, or water
blasting may be necessary in
order to achieve this proper
profile. Acid etching or other
treatments should be evaluated.
Substrate must be 40 F and rising
before installation. Surface at 100
F and above must be cooled
before installation. Pre-dampen
area with fog tipped sprayer
before using, leaving no puddles.
20. Two Part Broom Finish
APPLICATION
Bonding Primer:
Begin by saturating the area to be
covered with water. Before application of
primer, remove any excess water, leaving
no puddles. The surface should be
saturated, surface dry (SSD). Mix Liquid
Activator one to one with water and
scrub into the surface with a medium or
stiff Bristol broom and allow to dry clear.
Cover all areas that will be topped with
the broom finish. Use spiked or golf
shoes when walking on primed surfaces
so as to not pull up primer film. Next
dilute liquid activator at a rate of one
gallon concentrate to one gallon of water.
Add this mixture to mixing vessel along
with one 50 lb bag of powder, and mix
thoroughly. Pour out this mixture and
spread over area that has received
bonding primer. Use a trowel or
squeegee for this application, double
back with a concrete finishing broom for
desired texture. Allow to dry 24 hours
then spray a thin coating of permaseal
over the entire area.

22. Two Component Micro-Topping
GENERAL USES
Micro-Topping is a two component
polymer modified cement system
used as a thin smooth overlay. Uses
include smooth coating concrete,
patching small holes, skimming
poured concrete and block
walls. creating plaster look over
drywall. The product comes in
concrete gray, or white, and can be
integrally tinted to match any of the
universal color chart colors. Either
color will accept chemical stain and
can be sealed with permaseal. Use
permaseal followed with several
coats of acrylic floor finish on interior
applications. Micro-Topping can be
used indorrs or outdoors to beautify
concrete surfaces.
23. Two Component Micro-Topping
SURFACE PREPARATION
Remove all laitance,
efflorescence, chemical
contaminants, grease, oil, old
paint, and other foreign matter.
The prepared surface must be
clean and structurally sound.
Shot blasting, scarifying, or water
blasting may be necessary in

profile. Acid etching or other
treatments should be evaluated.
Substrate must be 40 F and rising
before installation. Surface at 100
F and above must be cooled
before installation. Pre-dampen
area with fog tipped sprayer
before using, leaving no puddles.
24. Two Component Micro-Topping
APPLICATION
Heavy traffic applications: First premix
liquid activator 1:1 with clean
water. Then mix 3 gallons premix to 50lb
micro-topping basecoat. Apply to floor
and trowel smooth. Let dry, and then
apply 1-2 coats of micro-topping finish
coat. Seal with permaseal and 6-12 coats
of acrylic floor finish. Extremely porous
surfaces may need to be primed with
liquid activator diluted 1:1 with clean
water. Blen material until smooth, lump
free consistency. Apply with finish
trowel, or squeegee, to slick-smooth
surface. Multiple applications may be
necessary to create a smooth-slick
finish. Do not apply thicker than 1/8" per
coat. Allow to cure for 24 hours before
chemical staining or sealing.
For drywall applications: Dilute liquid
activator 1:1 with clean water and roll
onto drywall in a thin, even layer. Allow
to dry clean and apply micro-topping
within 8 hours of primer application.
COVERAGE
Coverage is 500 sq. ft. per 50 lb bag per coat. Specify concrete gray
or white color.
25. Spray Texture
GENERAL USES
Evergreen Spray Texture is a two
component decorative concrete
system consisting of pre-blended
cement, aggregate and
polymers. The product can be
troweled or sprayed horizontally or
vertically onto existing concrete,
cement board, concrete blocks or
brick. This product comes in gray or
white or can be integrally tinted to
match any of the colors on the
universal color chart. It can also be
stained with pigmented permaseal
to create a variety of colors and
patterns.
26. Spray Texture
SURFACE PREPARATION:
All surfaces should be clean and
free of dirt, dust paint sealers,
form release, curing agents,
grease, oil, or any thing that
would inhibit mixed material from
coming into contact with the
open pores of the substrate. Any
anti-adherent must be removed
mechanically. Pressure washing,
sand blasting, water blasting,
grinding, and shot blasting are a
few good methods of
removal. On existing surfaces not
burdened with these anti-
adherents, pressure washing
coupled with acid etching should
be considered; especially on
smooth, steel troweled or
formed concrete.
Saturate the substrate with water, and allow to
absorb. Blow or broom off any puddle water before
application. This will give you a saturated, surface
dry (SSD) substrate.
27. Spray Texture
APPLICATION
If any patching and repair is needed,
mix Evergreen Liquid Activator one to
one with clean water, then adding the
asphalt coating powder to the
premixed liquid. This should have a
similar consistency as that of pancake
batter. Then patch any spalled areas
or cracks. Cracks caused from freezing
and then thawing should be treated in
accordance to asphalt standards.
Once all repaired areas are dry, mix
Evergreen Asphalt Activator one to
one with clean water. Then add
approximately ten quarts of premix, all
in a clean mixing vessel. Next
thoroughly mix in one 50 lb bag of mix.
This mix can be squeegeed or sprayed
to create a thin uniform coating. Once
dry a thin coat of permaseal can be
sprayed over the entire area to add a
coating of stain resistance and color
retention.

CURING
Allow to air cure after application.
Care should be used when
weather conditions impart
variables, which may cause the
overlay to dry out too quickly.
High heat, sunlight, and especially
windy conditions may be
detrimental to the proper curing
of the overlay. Attempting to
minimize application during such
harsh conditions by working
during cooler hours, keeping all
materials shaded prior to mixing
and setting up plastic or
temporary walls to block wind.
