2. 1. Artist mood board (2 x A4 or 1 A3)
Create a mood board of artists Include 10+ artists across two powerpoint slides
Type their name under the artwork and the name of the artwork. Obviously find the
work that is related to fish.
Make the images bigger for
the artists you like most and
plan to perhaps do an artist
research page on.

3. 2. Artist mood board response A4
• Choose one of the images from your artist mood board and
complete an A4 drawing/ painting/ collage or mixed media.
Remember you are looking to show that you have
experimented with lots of materials and techniques so if
you have lots of pencil do something else. You don’t have to
do the whole picture or you might like here do a drawing
and a detailed colour study of a section.

4. 3 & 4 Artist Research & Response (2 x A4 or 1 A3)
Choose one of the artists from your artist mood board and
create a research page like below and then on another A4 create
a copy of their work (it can be a can be a detail).

5. Create a second slide of Native American fish artwork (at least 6
images) Bill Reid is an important Haida artist which you might use.
Annotate with similarities – colour, shape, style, material etc.
Recreate at least a number of Native American fish using any
media. Making a double page spread in your A4 sketchbook.

6. Create a Mood board – one slide (A4) of Chinese fish
paintings (at least 6 images) Annotate with similarities –
colour, shape, movement, material etc.
Recreate at least one of the Chinese paintings A4 size
creating a double page in your A4 sketchbook.

for a single colour fish screen print.
