ONLINE REGISTERATION FOR SOLE PROPRIETOR
Registration at mygovernment portal
1. Go to http://www.malaysia.gov.my/EN/Pages/default.aspx.
2. Top right of the page click Register.
3. Or sign up at http://www.malaysia.gov.my/EN/SignUp/Pages/SignUp.aspx.
4. Click Individual for SSM Registration.
5. Fill in required details. Check I agree and consent… and click next.
6. Received Registration Activation email.
7. Click on the link for account activation within 30 days to avoid deletion of
account.

Registration at ssm portal
1. Go to http://www.ssm.com.my.
2. Select e – Lodgement.
3. Under General, click 4. SSM Subscriber Registration.

4. Select type of subscription: ROB.

5. Click Open Form.
6. Verify all information and select Finish.
7. Check I agree and consent to …
8. Click Submit and OK when prompt. Reminder: Make sure all info is correct as
no changes are allowed.
9. Payment page. Subscription fee for ROB selection will be RM5.00 per year.
10. Choose your payment method and select pay.
11. Print out a copy of the online receipt issued.

1. Go to http://www.ssm.com.my.
2. Select e – Lodgement.
3. Under Business (ROB) select 1. Application for Business Name Approval.
4. Click Open Form.
5. Fill in all required and click Finish.
6. Check I understand the rules …

Application for Business Registration
1. Go to http://www.ssm.com.my.
2. Select e – Lodgement.
3. Under Business (ROB) select 2. Online Registration of Business (ROB).
4. Select Open Form A.
5. Name Approval No should have been sent to you in the Business Name
Application Approved email.
Alternatively, Name Approval No can be found at www.malaysia.gov.my portal in
your personal page.
(Tips: Open my portal in another window so that you will not interrupt or lose
your previous data from SSM site)

Only Master or Visa Credit card will be allow
Reminder: Print a copy of receipt for every payment transaction.
License
License will be issued through email upon completion of registration. You are allowed to
print the cert on a piece of A4 size white color paper.

To check status
1. Go to http://www.malaysia.gov.my/EN/Pages/default.aspx.
2. Upon login, you will see the status either:
a. Approved = Complete and approved.
b. Not Submitted = Form was not complete and not submitted, need to
resubmitted.
c. In Process = Processing. Notification email with softcopy of license
attached will be sent out once complete.
d. Rejected = Not approved.
