Introduction
This presentation is going to be about the couger.The
couger is related to the feline family. Also the mountain
lion’s scientific name is called Puma concoler.
Here in this Power Point you’ll learn how the mountain
lion lives, what they eat, where they live and family life.

Family Life
When couger kittens are born they
are born blind with large spots on
their fur and dark colored rings
around the kittens’ tail. The spots
and rings start to disappear when
the kittens are six months old.
When they are old enough they go
seek out a mate, except for couger
mothers with kittens.
Life cycle

Diet
Cougers eat blacktailed deer, mule
deer and rabbits as well as big horn
sheep, raccoon and porcupine.
They might even eat cats and dogs
from farms.They all will eat large
insects, white bald deers, birds and
moose are also part of their diet.
Habbitat
Cougers use steep canyons rock
outcroppings and boulders or
vegetarian such as dense brush
and forest to remain hidden while
hunting. Cougers live deep in the
forest or in dens underground
where it’s safe and warm. Cougers
can adapt to almost any area.

Cougers live in North,
South and Central
America.
Body size and weight
Male cougers weigh up to 200 pounds
and female cougers weigh up to 120
pounds.They can be as long as 6 feet
