3. Argosy University, Washington DC Campus Registration Policies and Procedures
Enrolling in Argosy University: Graduate courses offered by the University are available to any individual with a minimum of a
baccalaureate degree. Preference is given to students matriculating through a specific degree program at the University. Non degree-seeking
students are referred to as “Students-At-Large.” Please refer to either the current Academic Catalog or Catalog Addenda if you have any
questions regarding any procedures outlined in this bulletin.
Registration Policy: Matriculating students must register for courses; submit a petition for graduation or petition for a temporary
withdraw each semester. The University does not accept registration by telephone. Registration is directed through the Student Services
Office at the campus. Students will register by logging on to the Student Portal and following the prompts for registration. Student Portal will
accept registration of matriculating students according to the published priority schedule during the priority registration week and will be
open to all, subsequent to that time.
Priority Registration: Priority registration is determined according to the student’s total number of credits earned from Argosy University.
Matriculating students can register according to the priority schedule, provided registration is conducted via Student Portal during the
Priority Registration week. Please note: The priority schedule does not guarantee course availability for students. However, it does provide
students the opportunity to register earlier based on their total earned credits. Students completing registration after credit hour time ticket
forfeit priority.
Payment Policy: Students are required to pay one half of all tuition and fees for the semester by the payment deadline. Payment can be
made via the Student Portal. Please notify the Department of Student Finance after making the payment. Students must have their liability
paid in full on or before the first day of the semester. If a student’s account is not paid in full by the first day of the semester, students will be
assessed a late payment fee and are subject to administrative withdrawal. The only exception to the above policy is for students pending
receipt of APPROVED financial aid, who have submitted all required forms or who have completed a payment plan form and form is on file
with Department of Student Finance at the campus. Web Payment Available on Student Portal - make credit card payments to your account
24/7.
Tuition Payment Plan: Payment is required by the payment deadline. Students who are receiving APPROVED Argosy University Financial
Aid do not need to submit payment by the payment deadline. However, if you are paying out-of pocket, or through an employee
reimbursement program, you must arrange to have your tuition paid (1/2 total amount) prior to the payment deadline or submit a payment
plan form for monthly payments. Payment plans are available and you should seek assistance in the Department of Student Finance for
options. If payment, financial aid, or an approved payment plan is not on file with Student Finance, your account is subject to a hold. Students
who do NOT have their financing in place could lose their priority schedule. Please return the completed agreement to the Department of
Student Finance. STUDENTS-AT-LARGE are required to pay in full prior to registration. Checks should be made payable to: Argosy
University.
Argosy University, Washington DC Campus 1550 Wilson Blvd, Suite 600 Arlington, VA 22209
4. Schedule Changes: Students who wish to withdraw from a course, change sections, or add a course may do so as they register through the
Student Portal until the first day of the semester. Student Portal allows students to register in real time. You will be able to see up-to-date
information about class offerings and availability and students will be able to add classes immediately to his/her schedule. Students are not
required to submit any paperwork and his/her final schedule is available immediately. Full payment must accompany all course additions
while refunds from course withdrawals will be granted according to the refund policy. Students who wish to drop a course after the

form to the Student Services Office for ANY and ALL schedule changes on or after the first day of the term.
Student at Large Registration: Non-matriculating students are invited to take classes at Argosy University. These individuals are referred
to as Students at Large (SAL). Individuals interested in becoming a SAL must submit appropriate documentation and meet requirements of
the Department that is offering the course in which the SAL will be registered. Preference in courses is given to students matriculating
through a specific degree program at the University. SAL registration will be accepted after the late registration deadline through the
Student Services Office. New graduate-level SALs must submit a copy of a transcript reflecting their bachelor’s degree, current resume with
their registration materials and application to receive approval of the Program Chair before registration will be accepted. For additional
information on the SAL registration procedure, please contact the New Student Coordinator. Full payment must accompany a SAL
registration request.
Late Registration: Any new registration of a matriculated student completed after the late registration deadline will be considered late and
the student will be assessed a late registration fee (as per the tuition and fee schedule). Availability of courses should be confirmed before
completing the registration process. Student Portal will provide real time information. Registration after the first class meeting will require
advisor and instructor approval, as authorized by their signatures on the add/drop request Form.
Continuous Enrollment Policy: Matriculated students must be continuously enrolled in the program from the time of matriculation
through graduation. Enrollment in any part of an academic term satisfies this requirement (e.g., enrollment in a single 7 ½ week session).
Additional enrollment requirements may be required of academic departments. Review the Academic Catalog and Catalog Addenda for
program specific policies and procedures. Students who must take time off due to medical or other significant reason may apply for a
temporary withdrawal. Students are discouraged from taking a temporary withdrawal as it delays their progress towards graduation.
Students who do not register for the current semester or who do not return from a temporary withdrawal will be considered withdrawn
from the program.

withdrawal form. In addition, students taking a leave of absence must complete an add/drop form for any courses for which they are

outlined in the Add/Drop Deadlines on page 8 of the bulletin.
Prerequisites: The following list of courses, with their prerequisite requirements, is being provided for your review. Please make sure that
you have met all the prerequisite requirements for each course in which you intend to register. You will be unable to register for a course if
you do not meet the prerequisite requirements.

courses, which will be represented by OL1, UA, XA - (national) or OLA - (campus). In the event an instructor is teaching more than one
section, the sections will be initials and the chronological order of the section times. For example ES1 (Monday class) and ES2 (Thursday
