3. Love is...
1 John 4:16
And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love.
Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.
4. 1 John 4:7-10
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from
God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and
knows God.
Whoever does not love does not know God, because
God is Love.
This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his
one and only Son into the world that we might live
through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but he
loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our
sins.
5. John 4:11-12
Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought
to love one another.
No one has ever seen God; but if we love one
another, God lives in us and his love is made
complete in us.
6. 1 John 4:16-18
And so we know and rely on the love God has for
us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God,
and God in them.
This is how love is made complete among us so
that we will have confidence on the day of
judgment: In this world we are like Jesus.
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out
fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The
one who fears is not made perfect in love.
9. 1 Corinthians 13:1-3
If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels but do not
have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging
cymbal.
If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all
mysteries and knowledge of, and I have a faith that can
move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body
to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I
gain nothing.
10. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it
does not boast, it is not proud.
It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it
is not easily angered, it keeps no records of
wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the
truth. It always protects, always trusts, always
hopes, always perseveres.
11. 1 Corinthians 13:8-10
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies,
they will cease; where there are tongues, they will
be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass
away.
For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but
when completeness comes, what is in part
disappears.
When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought
like a child, I reasoned like a child.
12. 1 Corinthians 13:10-13
When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood
behind me.
For now we only see a reflection as in a mirror;
then we shall see face to face.
Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as
I am fully known.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love.
But the greatest of these is Love.

17. Philippians 2:1-18
Imitating Christ’s Humility &
Do Everything Without Grumbling
18. Philippians 2:1-4
Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united
with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common
sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion,
then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having
the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind.
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in
humility value others above yourself,
not looking to your own interests but each of you to the
interests of the others.
19. Philippians 2:5-8
In your relationships with one another, have the same
mindset as Christ Jesus:
Who, being in very nature God, did not consider
equality with God to be used to his own
advantage;
rather he made himself nothing by taking the very
nature of a servant, made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man, he
humbled himself by becoming obedient to death-
even death on a cross!
20. Philippians 2:9-10
Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is
Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
21. Philippians 2:12-15
Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed-
not only in my presence, but now much more in my
absence- continue to work out your salvation with fear
and trembling,
for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to
fulfill his good purpose.
Do everything without grumbling or arguing
so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of
God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.”
22. Philippians 2:15-16
Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky
as you hold firmly to the word of life.
And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ
that I did not run or labor in vain.
24. James 1:22 NIV
Remember- Don’t just listen.... DO!
25. 1 John 2:4-6 NIV
Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he
commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person. But
if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made
complete in them. This is how we know we are in him:
Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.
