5. Why are In Christ scripture declarations from the Bible so
important?
✤ The best way to move God's essential truths from your head to your heart
is by speaking aloud "in Christ" scripture declarations.
✤ Do you have negative thoughts of: guilt, condemnation, fear or worry?
Do you ever feel defeated, lacking a sense of purpose, or like you're
just not good enough? If so, then it's time for a change of mind! :)
✤ Declaring "in Christ" scripture declarations on a regular basis will do
wonders to help transform and renew your mind by the washing of the
Word!
✤ Here are some "In Christ" scriptures and if you're ready to increase your
Christian faith you can start declaring them today!
6. ✤ In this lesson, however, I want to ask
"What Would Jesus Desire?"
a.What would Jesus desire of you today?
b.Is there something Jesus would want you
to do today?
c.Is there something Jesus would want you
to be doing everyday?
7. Which of the two servants most characterize your life:
The one who is faithful or the one who is negligent?
Which one should you be?
✤ Father, I want to be a faithful servant. I don’t want to be a disciple
who ignores my responsibilities. I want to be a person who reflects
Your Son’s influence in what I say and also in what I do. Forgive
me when I have failed to do so in the past. Perhaps a part of my
problem is my failure to anticipate Your Son’s return. Again,
forgive me. Your Son is coming again. Awaken within my heart a
proper expectation of His promised return. May I increasingly
become the faithful servant Jesus describes in His parable. May I
prove to serve Him, not out of fear or dread, but I want to be a
faithful servant. I want to be faithful servant! May I be so today!
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
✤
8. I believe Jesus would desire..
✤ THAT YOU BECOME HIS DISCIPLE
✤ He wanted His apostles to make disciples.
✤ A disciple is a learner, a follower.
✤ A disciple is one who desires to become like His
teacher.
9. WHY DOES JESUS WANT YOU TO BE HIS DISCIPLE?
✤ Learn from Him how to become free from the burden of sin.
Because He knows that you are under the burden of sin.
1) For freedom from sin is true
2) Only in Him can we become:
a) The legal guilt-free of sin
b) John 8:31-36
10. Romans 6:12-14 (NLT)
✤ 12 Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in to
sinful desires.
✤ 13 Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of
evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God,
for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your
whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory
of God.
✤ 14 Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under
the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the
freedom of God’s grace.
11. Jesus clearly wants you to be His disciple, to learn from
Him and to let Him lighten your load; are you His disciple?
Jesus also desires...
✤ As explained by Paul...
a. In baptism you united with Christ in His death and
raised with Him to a new life. Romans 6:3-7
b. In baptism you put on Christ. Gal 3:27
c. In baptism you experience the working of God, Who
forgives you of all your sins and raises you with Christ.
Col 2:11-13
12. Jesus therefore desires for you to enter in with this new
relationship with Him. Have you been baptized? If so,
then Jesus also desires that you...
✤ THAT YOU KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS
✤ WHAT ARE SOME OF HIS COMMANDMENTS?
✤ 1. To love the brethren. John 13:34-35
a.Which is one way we show the world we are truly His disciples.
2. To bear fruit: John 15:8
a.Such as saving souls, serving others, showing love
b.Bearing fruit comes only through Jesus. John 15:4-5
13. Certainly there is more that Jesus would
desire of us:
✤ Others taught to His apostles through the Spirit.
John 16:12-13
✤ But I wanted to use the current popularity of
WWJD to simply remind you..
✤ Not only to ask "What Would Jesus Do?" in a
particular situation
✤ But to ask "What Would Jesus Desire?" of you
right now!
14. I hope I have encouraged you to reflect on
what Jesus would want you to do today:
✤ a. If you have not committed to become
His disciple...
✤ b. If you have not been baptized...
✤ c. If you are not observing His
commands...
15. Here are some "In Christ" scriptures and if you're ready to
