revealed to us and what has been revealed to Abraham and
Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the Descendants and what
was given to Moses and Jesus and what was given to the

Or have the modern and scientific discoveries took
over the relevance of religion?

28. Changing Name
It is not compulsory for you to change your name if it has a positive
and good meaning to it;
However, due to the context that we‟re living in, we would
recommend you to have a Muslim/Arabic name paired with your
name;
E.g. Brad Pitt / Angelina Jolie would become:
Muhammad Brad Pitt / Nur Angelina Jolie
Badrul Pitt / Anisah Jolie
Etc.
For Singaporeans, the format of the name that you have
chosen can be inserted in your IC.
However, do note that your current name remains
while the Muslim name is in an alias.
