1. Vermachtnis Legacy: chapter 3 By fraulineTaube (originally posted on the Exchange) The Vermachtnis family experience life's ups and downs and reach generation 4 of the legacy.

2. Welcome back once again! Last chapter, we watched the third generation heiress, Gabi, grow up along with her brothers Gordon and Gage. Gabi is now off at college, dating as often as only a pleasure sim can, and living the high life in her greek house, Urele Ara Hoh, with her beau (romance Sim Jessie) and her best friend. 3. Who's this? Well, he's the placeholder, BJ Riley. BJ had first moved into the Vermachtnis house, but they took all his money and their cowplant ate his best friend! He moved out of that crazy house and is now doomed to smustle forever in front of this empty house, wishing desperately to revive his friend. Sorry BJ, but that's what you get for getting involved with those nutty Vermachtnis people.

4. "Yeah! Go mailbox. You so crazy! WOOOOOO!" "Alright! This toga party rocks! YE-HAW!" "More juice for the mailbox!" Seriously, who wouldn't want to join Urele Ara Hoh - they throw the best parties. (Huge, exaggerated eye roll.) This coed Greek house consists of Shanna, the very first pledge (left) and Jessie Depiesse (right) who is engaged to the founder, Gabriella Vermachtnis. Gordon, Gabi's younger brother, is also currently staying at the house.

5. Gabi is extremely, extremely vain. Like her mother, she is a champion primper, but she has the added, erm, talent of thinking of herself more than anything else. She does have a lot to be proud of, though. She's a solid 4.0 student majoring in art, the heiress to a (so far) successful legacy, and engaged to a gorgeous former paper boy. She is almost constantly platinum because all it takes to make her happy are dates, either with her fiancee or whoever happens to be around at the time.

6. Gordon decides college is not for him, as he is a romance Sim who desires to juggle 20 lovers at once. He heads back to Halcyon River Hills to start making his rounds.

7. Meanwhile, the Forbidden Money Tree Room of Romanticism has snared another victim. I'm not really sure why, but all the first kisses at the house seem to happen here. Of course, this is where Shanna spends most of her time, as she is Official Money Tree-Plucker. It was inevitable that these two would fall for each other - Jessie is romance, after all, and Shanna has a two-bolt attraction to him, despite her family-oriented nature. With Jessie involved with both of his housemates, however, the social life of Urele Ara Hoh became precariously balanced, especially when you factor in the several other lovers Jessie and Gabi were each individually courting. Shanna broke my heart when she rolled the want to get engaged to Jessie, who was, alas, already engaged to and wildly in love with Gabi. So I let their love gradually die off, even taking the aspiration hit when they finally fell out of love, and found Shanna a nice boyfriend that actually wants to settle down. I don't think I took any pics of him.

8. Back at home, Gordon chills with the boys for a bit, stopping by just to pick something up before he goes on his merry way. I think he looks a lot like Asher when he was younger, possibly even more so than he looks like his dad.

9. I went to check in on Taube, my self-Sim, whose husband was eaten by the Vermachtnis' cowplant on move-in day. She had been talking to him when I last saved the house and as I pressed play, he smiled benevolently and faded out of view. *sniff*

10. But I brought him back! Of course, Gordon helped a bit, by moving in and bringing a resurrection phone for us. But why is Taube in her underwear and Gordon thinking of woohoo? A-heh-heh-heh . . .

11. Can you blame me? Okay, you probably can. But let me rationalize a bit first! Gordon is a fine looking piece of Sim-booty, he needs 20 lovers (a want I plan to fulfill when I'm not playing the Vermachtnis house), and I wanted to thank him for helping me get Martin back. Taube and Gordon woo-hooed while Martin was still dead, so, technically, its not cheating. Ahem. This is why, even in my game, my sim is named Taube and not my real name. At least this way, when I get myself into these crazy situations, I can say, "Well, that's not reallllly me . . ."

12. Martin: "Goodbye strange man in your underwear. Thanks for bringing me back from the dead. I am mighty happy about it. Good luck on your travels!" Gordon: "Uh, thanks, clueless dude. And stay away from the cowplant, would ya?"

13. Back at Uni, Jessie has found a kindred soul! Professor Katy promptly hops into the hottub naked when invited over and broaches the subject of making out with Jessie. I'm sure that's completely within the Professor Code of Ethics. Seems like she'll be a fun girlfriend for Jessie.

14. This picture looks like something bad might be happening in it, but its really the calm before the storm. Jessie just got done woohooing Gabi before Shanna got home from class and Professor Katy showed up. He invited the blonde over to get to know her better in a platonic way before they go on a date later tonight. The girl in shorts just insulted Gabi, which is why she's upset. And Prof. Katy always floats little "no-best-friends" signs over her head with every interaction, because she's just a crazy person like that. So things are going okay so far . . .

15. But then the mad professor has to go and flirt with Jessie, which of course, he can't refuse because he has a high relationship with her. This sends Gabi AND Shanna into fits of rage and the slapping begins. As you can see, Gabi is winding up for a really solid one.

16. However, with time and lots of positive reinforcement, Gabi and Jessie made up. This looks like a really sweet picture, but if you were to tilt the camera just a bit, you would see that they are each *actually* thinking of themselves. You little self-centered twits! And yet, aren't they just made for each other?

17. Gage gets to know his cousins, the rather intimidating daughters of Daisy Stratton, Darcy's older sister. Gordon and Gage had moved out to live the carefree life of spares, no longer under the oppressive rules of the legacy house.

18. So, like that, Gage grew up so that he could get a job (he is knowledge) while Gordon romanced half the town. These two look very different. Gordon is basically the male version of Gabi, and they both look a lot like Leo. Gage, however, has more of Darcy's genes in him than just his hair color.

19. "Oh, hello mother. Nice of you to drop by while I am woohooing! Please don't mind the girl in the granny panties, she's, erm, just a friend. Let me get dressed, and then I will show you this magical new invention they call the doorbell." And so begins the saga of the 20 lovers, which is taking forever. Its a really hard want!

20. This picture cracks me up. I don't know if the maid is gender-confused and is trying to check out Gage's assets or what, but she does get along with Gage pretty well. They are both little neat freaks. So that's where we'll leave the gen 3 spares for now.

21. Oh, okay, maybe we did take a picture of Shanna's intended. Uh, good luck with that engagement there, guy - this is obviously a girl with issues.

22. Romance sims. Sigh. Lechers, all of them. On the plus side, these two never have aspriation problems. They have a natural 3-bolt attraction and desire interaction with each other constantly and more often than any of their other paramours. For right now, I'm letting them get around, but once they're married they'll have to be faithful.

23. Don't you wish college was *really* like this? "Hey you two, thanks for writing my term paper for me. I'm just gonna smustle over here if you don't mind. Let me know if you want me to change the station."

24. When she's not thinking of herself, Gabi has weird thoughts. She thinks constantly about babies, marriage, and engagement. I would almost think she's a family Sim, but I know she's pleasure!

25. Yuck, I think Komeii's little brother goes to this school. Keep walking, dude.

26. What are you two doing? "Uh nothing. Don't ask. In fact, its illegal in most southern states." Well, just clean the hot tub up when you're done.

27. Presenting the I Slept with Jessie Good Times Band, featuring Gabi on drums, Shanna on bass, and that one girl with the hair that matches her shirt on guitar. Good times.

28. During BJ's short stay at the Vermachtnis house, he bravely defended our gnome by standing five feet away and pointing accusingly. Darcy tried to bludgeon the guy with her pelvis, but all to no avail. He got away with it! When Gabi came home from Uni, she promptly stole it back. Cracked me up.

29. And BJ's friend Cooper succumbs to the lure of our cowplant, Fluffy. True story, my little sister has a Madagascar hissing cockroach named Fluffy. It just seems like a good name for vile creatures, I think.

30. See, I told you - the best parties are at Urele Ara Hoh! Where else can you hang out with a member's parents in approximately two square feet until you nearly pee yourself? No where. So make your next party a socially awkward one like the roof raisers we have here! Also, Gabi is so outgoing she wears 'sexy' toga party attire. I'm sure her parents are so proud.

31. Now that she's older, Gabi actually gets along with her mother quite well. Nothing like a PJ pillow fight in the wee hours of the morning to say mother-daughter bonding.

32. And just like that, four years are over. Gabi didn't actually get a 4.0 because after I got OFB and before I downloaded the patch, she had the problem where she went to her class instead of her final, but she still got a 3.8 for that semester, so its all good I guess.

33. "Goodbye dear Greek house and Shanna. I must return now to the family house, birth a fourth generation and become a celebrity chef. But I'm sure I'll still have plenty of time for soaking in the hot tub, playing chess, and taking bubble baths. See you in a few, Jessie!" Isn't Gabi gorgeous?

34. Jessie passes the time of his last semester without Gabi, while Shanna helps cement the house's reputation as "that one - you know, shh, don't say the name too loudly, we don't want to draw the weirdos."

35. Jessie too grows up and moves back home. His lifetime want is to be a Hall of Famer, totally doable, especially since he's quite active.

36. Yum! I am foreseeing good genes for the fourth generation.

37. And the lovers move back home together. I see that Gabi at least knows her place in this whole equation.

38. They immediately set to wooing each other, but these two lovebirds need to get married before they start popping out the young'uns.

39. Jessie, why are you mopping the flowers? "Well, I decided to water them for no apparent reason, but, wouldn't you know it? The gardener that was here earlier also watered them, so it created a puddle. And I, being a good Romance sim and not one of those ill-behaved ones you read about, decided to mop it up." It still spawned weeds though. Why don't you leave the gardening to, you know, the guy we pay to garden.

40. Why, Leo and Darcy Vermachtnis, generation 2, you are looking very nice and coordinated. And what a nice little church you seem to be in. Whatever is going on?

41. And Christy and Asher Vermachtnis of generation 1, you are also beautifully attired (pronupsims.com) and Christy seems to be raptuously happy. Spill the beans, what's the occasion?

42. Aha! A wedding! This chapel is in the back of their lot for just these types of events, and there is a nice mausoleum and graveyard attached. I'll do a tour in the next chapter - the new house is almost finished. Anyway, time to get generation 3 hitched! I am so happy that you can choose the wedding attire now.

43. A very lovely couple. Jessie really surprised me by having no fears about marriage. In fact, he was the one that wanted to get engaged back at Academie Le Tour. This couple is madly in love, although neither of them spun a want to get married.

44. Awwww . . . and now we welcome Jessie Depiesse to the family. I was really careful when I clicked on the arch for marriage, since I distinctly remember Depiesse being an unlucky name for one of Hiddenunderabed's characters. But no worries - they're all Vermachtnis in this house.

45. Are you getting sick of lovey-dovery pictures yet? Too bad. This is my cutest couple ever and they are just gaggingly sweet all the time.

46. A toast to the bride! May she have a happy life, reach platinum early, and spawn wonderful heirs to the Vermachtnis name.

47. And off to the honeymoon. For two people who have been woohooing each other's brains out for the past four years, they look a little awkward. More champagne for the newlyweds!

48. When they return, Christy fixes a little dessert and has a talk with Jessie and Gabi about expectations and children. The freshly married couple are eager to start a family, and Gabi is already thinking about all the extracurriculars she can put her future children in. What a nice family picture. Christy, its nice to see you, for once, not scheming about multiple births. "Aheh, I wouldn't be too sure about that."

49. Christy!!! Oh well, a little cheesecake never hurt anyone, right? :)

50. "Okay, we're about to celebrate our marriage now, so if you wouldn't mind turning the camera off? Thanks."

51. There's the lullaby! Success!

52. Asher has turned into a strange guy in his old age. He has a very serious, almost angry look most of the time, except when he's getting a bit of sugar from Christy. Then he looks like one of them pervy romance Sims.

53. Tee hee. Gabi, you either need to work out or change into different undies. "Its not my fault you made me eat wedding cake, champagne, and two servings of cheesecake all in one day!" Oh yeah, sorry. You were fine until that second helping of cheesecake, but I didn't know at the time whether it had to be eaten before or after the woohoo, so I had to make sure. "Stupid controller . . . "

54. And generation 4 is on its way. That's almost halfway! I finally feel like I am getting somewhere with this legacy.

55. "Whoa!" "What's wrong Jessie?" "Um, do you not see my tubby wife, spinning around in that weird contraption like a rotund little gumby doll?" "Oh, yeah, I see her all right." "And that doesn't bother you?" "Trust me, boy, its hard coming into a legacy as an NPC mate at first. But you get used to it after a while. This is tame compared to most of the stuff that goes on. Just try to stay calm and collected when bizarre things happen."

56. "And then the professer said whisper whisper whisper and she took out a whisper whisper whisper and I said, "Is this going to help my grade?" and she said, "Oh, it'll help your whisper whisper to whisper whisper pineapple." "Oh my goodness! I wish I could meet a woman like that!" Romance sims. (Eye roll)

57. "Okay, I'm just going to stay calm and collected, just like Leo told me. Okay, pregnant wife is passed out on the sidewalk, deep breath in whoooooooo and out whooooooooo. Hey, I feel lots better now! Maybe I'll just go sing some karaoke or something."

58. "I am home! It is I - Leo - supreme family protector. Witness my awesome power to safeguard my beloved family. Nothing ever goes wrong when Leo is around!"

59. "Hey, something's not right! I don't feel so good." You're pregnant. "Alright, so, like, time to pamper me, right? Keep my moods up, that sort of thing?"

60. Oh, we'll keep your moods up, alright. "That is not what I meant. I want to be in a bubble bath right now. Whine . . ."

61. Time for more gooshy-in-love pictures with the sappiest couple ever! Singing love songs with your pregnant wife, isn't it so sweet?

62. Seriously, they do this every time they walk by each other. I think this 3 bolt thing is just too cute.

63. "Hey pookie, where you going with uh . . . what is that you have in your hand there?" "Why, sweetums, it is quite clearly a bouquet that has turned invisible because I touched the first step. I'm going to deposit it on the front porch because we had another successful date, lover-pie!" "Sigh, I love you." "Me too. I mean, I love you too."

64. Autonomous! They seriously can't get enough of each other. Neither one spun any wants for a baby, but Jessie never once had a fear of having a baby. He is truly a unique romance Sim.

65. Christy, what are you doing? "Oh, just taking a good look. I want to remember the good life I had when I go." Where are you going? . . . Christy, answer me!

66. "Do you remember, when we met, you didn't even have a house?"

67. "Yeah, you were only like the third person I ever knew. Ah, I haven't thought about those days in forever. Look at us now!"

68. "And remember how you tried to woo me by talking about video games?" "Ah, I hoped you'd forgotten that! But what's with all the reminiscing?"

69. "Just wanted to say I love you, Asher Vermachtnis." Oh man, I think Christy's saying her goodbyes. Her life bar is full. Don't go Christy!

70. Christy has only to wait a few hours and she can meet her great-grandchildren. We're so close, hang on Christy! Judging by the size of that belly, she might have three or four in there.

71. Sadly, the river of time waits for none, not even baby-obsessed elderly family Sims. At least she got a good send-off.

72. "Christy Vermachtnis, come with me . . ." "Couldn't this wait a few hours?" "Now, woman!"

73. And just like that Christy was gone.

74. Christy Stratton Vermachtnis lived to the ripe old age of 79 with only one drink of elixir, a feat for any townie. She was a loving Sim and loved by many. There was never a Sim in my game that didn't take a shine to Christy. Her will benefitted 12 people. Listed inheritors were Asher, her children Darcy, Dallas, and Daisy, and her granddaughter Gabi Altogether, the main Vermachtnis house recieved over 30,000 simoleons in inheritance.

75. Out of everyone in the house, Darcy took it the hardest. She broke down crying over and over for the next few days. Gabi was preoccupied with the impending birth of her twins. Asher floated from naps on the couch to work and back again, hardly believing his beloved wife was gone.

76. Later that night, Gabi went into labor on her way to the energizers in the garage. At least it wasn't a bathroom birth.

77. One of these things is not like the other, One of these things just doesn't belong. One of these things is not like the other. Can you guess which it is before I finish my song?

78. Welcome baby Joy, a bouncing little girl with black hair, skin tone 2, and the dominant blue eyes that everyone in the house except for Leo and Asher have.

79. Well, um, I'm glad to see you're happy about the baby Darcy, but somehow I don't think you contributed quite as much as some others. Gabi gets ready for the baby pass-off.

80. And another spin welcomes little Jay into the world. Another girl, she also has black hair and blue eyes, but got her father's skin tone.

81. "Hey, babies, woooooo!" "Um, dad, you're a little late. Mind helping me scoop these minutes-old newborns off the cold, dirty cement?"

82. Baby Joy, the firstborn.

83. And Jay, twin number 2.

84. "Birth and death. Its the circle of life, and even we Sims are bound by it. You'll have to excuse my controller, she's feeling a little choked up right now. Thanks for joining us. I'm going to get back to my primping now. Its a coping mechanism, you see. Anyway, join us next time to see little Joy and Jay grow up, in the continued adventures of the Vermachtnis family."
