3. The first step to reducing water, moisture and Vapors is to
check for cracks and openings. Using the appropriate concrete
repair product, repair all holes and openings. Avoid using
caulking's or temporary fillers – use a product guaranteed to

The second step is to seal the pores of the concrete. The
Armor S2000 is a top selling sealer for waterproofing and
Radon reduction, and is used by basement waterproofing
companies globally. The Armor S2000 penetrates into the
concrete and chemically reacts with it to form a crystalline
barrier within the pores. This barrier will increase overtime,
and with more coats. For normal basements, 2 coats is
required. For basements in less than average condition, 3+
coats may be required.

depends on several factors:

The size of the pores (larger pores need a larger structure).
The amount of free lime and calcium present in the concrete.
The current condition of the concrete. For example, if the pores of
the concrete are currently filled with water, the sealer will have to
slowly displace the water.

Fill the pores, fill the cracks, fill the gaps and reduce Radon. In some
cases where Radon levels are significantly high, a Radon mitigation
system should be used on conjunction with the sealer and repair
