The University of California, Irvine Medical Center (UCI) is a world-class
academic medical center and the only university hospital in Orange County.

With its location in Orange County, UCI faces an incredibly competitive talent market, contending with major
private sector employers like the Walt Disney Company, Allergan, Boeing and CKE International as well as public
sector employers such as the Orange County government (the county’s top employer), the Federal Government
