Our school is composed of about 800 students (aged 14-18) 
After the first two common years which complete the compulsory stage of 
Italian education , it has, in fact, three different “branches”, Business 
Studies , Computer Studies and Tourism

Studies , Computer Studies and Tourism
The principal subjects taught and studied are Italian, History, Geography, 
Maths, Economics, Law, Computer Studies, Business Studies, Art and 
Foreign Languages ( English, of course, French, Spanish and German ) 
Students go to school from Monday to Saturday, from 08:15 to 13:15/14:15 
They don’t usually have lessons in the afternoon
The principal subjects taught and studied are Italian, History, Geography, 
Maths, Economics, Law, Computer Studies, Business Studies, Art and 
Foreign Languages ( English, of course, French, Spanish and German ) 
Students go to school from Monday to Saturday, from 08:15 to 13:15/14:15 
They don’t usually have lessons in the afternoon
School generally starts in the 
second decade of September 
and ends in the second one of 
June . 
The school year is divided into 
two terms, the first ending at the 
end of January . Important 
breaks of the school year are 
Christmas and Easter holidays . 
Each of them lasts about two 
weeks .

From 10th to 17th December 2012 in Furth (Germany), 
comparison of our school systems.

its consequences for the

There were two teachers, Mrs 
Paola Cordaro and Mr Mariano 
Mondello, and four students, 
Cosimo Giordano, Rachele 
Ingianni, Natasha La Grutta and 
Federico Russo

“Healthy food and healthy mind”. 
There were two teachers, Mrs Franca ( but everybody call her Fanny) Marino 
and Mr Calogero Adamo, and four students, Sophia Angileri, Simona 
Giacalone, Alessia Martinico and Giovanni Sciacca

it was really impossible for us to participate, 
Self-evaluation, spread and impact 
• intercultural competence; 
• long and true relationships; 
• more European; 
• learned a lot about other 
countries; 
• wrong prejudices; 
• more self-confident; 
• communicative skills . 
We are sure that, eventually, 
these results are already giving 
birth to a deep impact at school 
and local level, as well
We were asked by our teachers, we would like to show you “our own” 
Comenius project, or, at least, what else it left inside our heart
