3. Digital Citizenship is......
Being honest and kind.
Using correct and age limited websites.
Not Cyber bullying.
Using technology carefully and remembering all terms and conditions.
Being the right age for all websites.
Not offending people and there cultures and never making an
account without permission.

4. Law
The Law is very important when using the internet.
The Terms & Conditions of a website are to be followed 24-7.
Breaking the rules of a website is illegal.
When downloading movies, be careful.
It may say that it’s safe, but it could be illegal.

5. Security
If you have the ability to put a password on your devices, do put a
password on.
Make sure that people ask you before they go on your
technology.
Do not share passwords with anyone other than yourself.

6. Health and Wellness
Eye safety, repetition stress syndrome and sound
problems are all problems that could happen to you, if
using technology constantly.
You must be careful when you are on social sites. You might write
something that you don’t mean, but it could be harming someone
else’s feelings and everyday lives.

7. Access
You must remember when using the internet that everyone
can access it. Everyone can see what you’ve done!
When you are writing something to someone else, you may be
offending someone, or their culture and religion.
Do not write or blog something bad about someone as
everyone has access to all social sites.

8. Communication
There are many ways to communicate with others with technology
from the 21st century such as the iPad, computer, iPod and laptop.
Make sure that you are making the right choice when communicating.
When communicating form your emails or messages properly! DO
NOT use text language, try not to use caps lock either people could
take it the wrong way!

9. Commerce
When buying and selling items on the internet you must be careful
who you are doing business with.
Remember that the world is big and there are many jerks out there
who are looking for us kids and will break the law and steal things
off us.
That is why many of these sites have age restrictions such as
TradeMe. Make sure that you obey all of them.

10. Literacy
These days, many people are now in e-learning classes.
This means that there may be many younger people on the internet.
The intermediates are the older, more responsible internet
users, therefore you must not be silly on social sites and set a
great example for the not as experienced internet users.

11. Etiquette
We all are allowed to write what we feel, but when you do, you must
understand that you have full credit and responsibility for your
actions.
E.g. If you write that you are 11 years old but are on a restricted 13
years of age site, the heat is on your parents. If it is your account
that you made it is your job to use the correct actions.

12. Rights and Responsibilities
It is our responsibility to look after the internet and its users by
following all Terms and Conditions and setting a good example for
future internet users.
We all have individual rights, but all of us also have the
same rights, such as freedom of speech and a right to
have personal space and privacy.
