2. What genre does your chosen song fall into? Indie is a genre of rock music and mean of producing that music that originated in the UK and USA in 1980 It is rooted in earlier genres such as alternative rock, post-punk. The term "indie" to describe any music produced by artists working within the network of independent record labels and underground music venues. The genre that falls into our song is indie. The reason why we decided to use indie genre this is because it advertises young male bands representing into the indie genre. We can also highlight that our song is a indie genre this is because most bands play different varieties of instruments which encourages the discovery of new music. Indie music describes the major concerns of record labels and an autonomous.

3. What genre does your chosen song fall into? The main reason why our chosen song falls into the indie genre this is because the lyrics based are similar to our chosen track. For e.g. CASPA & MR HUDSON - Love Never Dies this signifies that love lasts for ever which reflects to our chosen track. This is because both tracks are based on love and heartbroken relationships. However the name of our chosen track “never get lost except by your side” signifies that he’s lost with his emotions cause he's fully in love however his partner cheated on him which has made him feel isolated. It also shows audiences that is an indie genre because indie genres often have bands that have different roles.

4. Who typically buys this genre? How do you know? In order to create a music video based on indie I need to understand who my main target audience is by researching who usually listens to indie genre . I found that mainly female audiences ages 18-24 year olds are the target audiences for indie. This is because I’ve searched into a couple of indie genre music video’s onto YouTube and found that the Kooks naïve music video was popular with female genders. This may be because of they of the narrative of the story which may have something related to their love life. This is also because the lyrics my reflect to their relationship experiences.

5. What Age? My target audiences for my media product is mainlyaimed atfemale genders ages 18-24 years old. This is because this image shows that indie bands use instruments to express their feelings. This is also because many indie tracks are a narrative based story which discusses about relationships and life. The use of costume in this slide and the black colour signifies that theirmasculinity which is whyfemale ages 18-24 are attracted to indie music this is because they have interests in the rock indie male look such as long hair and their style.

6. What are the likes and dislikes of your target audience? How are these reflected in other music videos from your chosen genre? Target audiences likes are the characters onscreen performing with varieties of instrument which implies that the indie is literally independent. However some audiences believe that Indie music isn't so easy to target. I found that more females are my target audience for my indie genre track this is because the rates of their likes tend to be high on the Kooks naïve music video.

8. How would a concept/narrative/performance video meet the needs of this audience? A narrative video would meet the needs of the male audiences this is because the storyline of my music video may attract their attention because of the relationship break downs which may relate to their life experiences etc. A performance video would also attract the audience attention this is because the artist would express their feelings on how they feel about their situations.
